It looks like both would work equally well as a mixer. Any thoughts?
Yes they will.
They're pretty similar and highly useful for a lot of different tasks: QVCA has a few extra features, Veils is a touch cheaper.

You really can't go wrong with either or both.

Re: Make Noise 0-Ctrl

Any cool 0-Coast >< 0-CTRL racks out there? I feel like there's a huge opportunity for a (portable) Easel like packaging for this duo. Saw this 3DWaves Dual Tier which was pretty cool, but obviously more of a stand situation https://www.3dwaves.net/listing/3dwaves-dual-tier-stands-for-the-make-noise...

boss bx-6 mixer with gain and volume both cranked to 10. Was kind of in the same boat as I used to have a Space, it sounded nice but rather complicated for me. My guitar board has an Ocean's 11 which like set-it-and-forget-it so I just wanted to go with another 'simple' pedal for my synths. I recently picked up a Neunaber Immerse MkII and I am very pleas...

I do think that running a company involves more than designing products, which Jim is clearly remarkably talented at. Is he really remarkably talented at it though? He's years over deadline / ship date that was quoted when he took people's money. Isn't even pretending there is a deadline at this po...

Jim is a pretty cheap employee for you to continually harass him. Yes, you paid $1500, but shit what is that in startup money? Those multiple startups that you're merging expectations with are in the millions of bullshit cash. And most of them, I'm guessing, failed. You won't even notice the time y...

I have a feeling you don't keep yo with Strymon too closely. They came out with a screen-less delay in this exact form fa...

No one has SEEN a working prototype, even one handwired on breadboards. We have HEARD audio clips that ALLEGEDLY were run through a proof of concept device. There has DEFINITELY NOT been definitive audio / visual samples that all of the features in this proposed device have even been wired up by ha...

FYI The shipping dates of the TE-2 are going public today on the other thread. It'll ship in batches. source: https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3...

You could use Frames or Veils as a mixer, or maybe one of each if you wanted to play in stereo spaces. I am 99% sure you can't use two Ears in the same rack though (grounding issue or something). You'd definitely want a Yarns and/or Grids if you were actually doing this. If you were actually going t...

Re: How do you use mutes?

i don't see the point in a mute module, i just buy more switches instead, can do same + more and they are one of the most useful modules in modular (imo), so you can never really get too many. I would argue that a "Mute Module" lives at the intersection of VCA / Crossfader / Switch, and usually fea...

This is imminent 🙏🏻 I mean when you say imminent. 6 months? a year? If the PCB's are not even finished being designed and they are still working on that, then it needs to be ordered, made, delivered, tested, ordered in quantity, made, delivered, tested, then all the product needs to be made, calibr...

Everything is slowed because of Covid, including shipping. If some portion of the Space Case production is delayed it makes perfect sense to start selling extra cases in the meantime. I have never used a TD-3 and have no idea about if there is a hardware or firmware issue But I will say that Midi over USB can stink really bad, and you can have issues with one device even if everything else seems to be "fine", and I put that in quotation marks because once you fix problem 'a' othe...

Have one, you get a lot for the price, not perfect feel or ergonomics but again the price. My guess is it doesn't fit in with the workflow of many who bought it, you can't just flip through presets until you find a sound you like Little bit of this Is it possible there are more people now selling t...

Word I didn't realize the full deal Devil FIsh was $1200 AUS !? Maybe I am looking for "someone else" to do it. I know there's quite a bit of soldering to add those patch points and knobs/ switches and whatnot, but I always assumed the DF mods were like $300 and the TB-303 was "worth" $2500 = $2800 ...

Just being able to play the tapes back modulating the speed the start stop, the filter etc. will be fun. I don’t think I’d want to use them as delays because then, yeah you lose it all. I’m excited about the feedback loop, been messing with that on a few delays recently. I have a whole box of cassettes from a school library, educational things. That should make some fun sampling If you use those tapes with this device's echo on, it will ruin the recording. The echoes are literally...

Don't get me started on the 104-m I guess?? What would you replace it with? I had a non-midi "z" version many years ago and it was also fantastic. I just started getting into the midi stuff after having the M for a few years. Most of the time I wouldn't want things to sync up perfectly anyway. To m...
