Re: Behringer Pro 800, Prophet 600 clone

Never thought that the prophet 600 was all that special? I mean it was okay, but....

Seems like a weird choice for a new clone.

I liked this a lot. The string chord sound was quite novachordish I thought.

Re: Blacet pot upgrade? (2100, Miniwave, Super VCA)

I bought my first 2 Blacet kits in 1999 (maybe even 1998) and built up the set of modules I have piecemeal since then. A few years ago I relubricated all of the pots in my Blacet modules with WD-40 following the instructions on Blacet's website. Every one of the pots still works 100% after a lot of ...

LMAFOO@that frames unboxing video, all it needed was an ASMR girl whispering annoyingly over the top of it. Or maybe the uploader's girlfriend shoving it all out of the way because she needs the space to film her latest clothes haul video.

live performance w/Wiard/Blacet/MI

A live, mainly improvised new-age-ish/cosmic performance I did a couple of months ago in Rugeley, Staffordshire, UK - Wiard and Blacet modular synthesizers, couple of Mutable Instruments modules, Roland JDXi (the Popol Vuh-ish choir sound) Casio MT41 (was tempted to drop "Sleng Teng Rhythm" halfway ...

Do you do any custom work? Happy to consider it as long as I have the time - I have a couple of custom designs winging their way to me currently, one of which is a 2000AD Halo Jones blank based on the comic artwork requested by a friend, this obviously will be a very limited and not for sale run, b...

I have a Peavey DPM-SP with full memory, a TX16w with full memory and a HCX drive fitted (it's very good), a Korg DSM1 and an E-Mu E6400 ultra. Apart from the Peavey, which I bought new to replace a stolen E-max2 they were all very cheap and in one case free. I like the way their idiosyncracies push...

There's some info in the analogue heaven mail list archives, search for "kpr77" and "kpr-77". I found this:

Boss BR800 vs Zoom R8

WELL HELLO EVERYBODY I want to buy a little all-in-one multitrack recording gadget to play with. as well as recording musick, I also want to do field recordings and maybe do samples of stuff that I might encounter when I'm out & about. There are two devices I'm looking at that are sort of similar pr...

As well as the build docs, if someone wanted to resurrect John B's range of modules, then they would need the firmware for several of them - the newer frequency divider and envelope generator, the midiverter (there was more than one rev of this), the D/A/D and the hex zone all need firmware to work.

The DX7 cart is an editor/librarian not an actual DX7 synthesizer. The inbuilt synth voice is identical to the Yamaha FB01. IE 8 voice, 8 way multitimbral, 4-op There were 2 versions of the built-in synthesiser, SFG01 which didn't have a working midi in, and SFG05 which did. Yyou could upgrade the s...
