Re: Prok Drum modules

I understand, totally. Honestly I do.

But do you understand me as well? On page one in this thread I asked if the editor would run on Linux, you replied "yes it's Java", I bought the module based on that.

Trying to get the Windows version working is probably a good route for you at this moment, it's only less than 1% of users who tried the Linux version.
Please do let us know how you get on.
Ah I see, so there is a Linux version. Where can I find it?

EDIT: Video says always power from rack, I'll go with that then...

Re: Prok Drum modules

I'm (still) on linux, is there a way to run the editor pure java style?

The windows program ProkModularEditor.exe seems to be working with wine, but haven't tried connecting to the module yet, lot's of potential problems could be hidden there....

My favorite modulation sources are tripple sloth and 4r. Might need some attenuators to go with that.

Re: O|D ER-301: Sound Computer (Available Now!)

To be clear: I'm extremely happy with the er-301, and immensely enjoy creating all kinds of units. I'm just saying a one-to-one replica of morphagene, clouds or anything else for that matter might turn out as an frustrating experience. The functionality might be possible to nail, but there'll always...

Re: O|D ER-301: Sound Computer (Available Now!)

But do you say that replicating is a dead end because it is not achievable? Anyway, I guess the doubt I have is more about what I could lose by not buying any of those modules that, in the end, I like not only for their sound but also for their specific workflows and interfaces. Well, yes! Even if ...

Re: O|D ER-301: Sound Computer (Available Now!)

Hi hirnlego! I don't think like that. There have been efforts (and lots of requests/questions on how) to replicate various modules like clouds and morphagene in the 301. I think this is a dead end. I'm my opinion, if you think a bit meta about what you want to achieve, the 301 will be much more rewa...

Re: Sloth Chaos PCBs & Panels available

Thanks both of you for the answers. Not sure why I didn't think of just measuring with a meter, will do that just to be 200% and proceed with the build.

Thanks again!

Re: Sloth Chaos PCBs & Panels available

Oops, ordered the wrong jacks for my triple sloth. I thought I might be able to use them anyways, by soldering a resistor leg from the horizontal leg to hole on PCB, but looking at the data sheets, I’m not so sure. Hope someone can clear this up... EDIT: My bottom PCB is version 4... https://www.tho...

Re: Expressive keyboard for rack control: QuNexus, Microfreak, or something else?

I have both the qunexus and the microfreak, I don’t really gel with the qunexus, the microfreak is awesome. Being a piano player, I was quite surprised how much I loved the microfreak. Plus you get a great synth as well... Here’s a little something where I play the microfreak (internal synth on this...

Re: Instruō - Cš-L complex oscillator [CS-L]

I have a couple of questions: 1) will it retain all settings between power cycles, that is sound and behave exactly the same as when powered off? 2) is there a way to make sure it's in tune without a tuner (like an indent on the tuning knob(s) or by calibrating it so that 0V equals C with tuning kno...
