Re: Rossum Control Forge and Satellite

8 individual outs on the CF doesn't seem useful to me unless you've got 8 different sequences playing simultaneously—which it can't really do. run the CV out into a voltage block or something and you've got a pretty high powered scannable sequencer.

the resemblance to anti-semitic nazi propaganda is uncanny, and not acknowledging it or looking past it is just whitewashing. ooh lately i've been loading up breakbeats and chopping them up/resequencing them via my nerdseq, then resampling through morpheus to get a little distortion—rinse and repeat. sort of like a hardware Renoise

We would *really* appreciate it if those experiencing it could contact us via our Support Request form: http://www.rossum-electro.com/support/support-request-form/ and include a recipe that consistently results in the problem. A clear video showing it would be good as well. We really want to get th...

Re: Rossum Electro-Music Assimil8or

The main selling point for me with the A8 was the sound quality, but i've been happily surprised by trying self-patching tricks like multi-operator FM(PM) patches with a sampled sine playing back on different channels—essentially recreating DX7-like routings to get some really complex sounds. With r...

Re: Rossum Electro-Music Assimil8or

Just picked up this amazing sampler — messed with it a bit with the 1.01 firmware that it was shipped with before upgrading to 2.00 — sampling and everything was working fine — since I've updated to 2.0 though I can no longer save any samples I record at all — and truncated samples apparently aren't...

Re: Rossum Control Forge and Satellite

for me, right now control forge sessions are separate from "music" sessions. I do enjoy working things out with it and experimenting within it's limitations — I bought a satellite a while ago and i've just now been getting the two to communicate together in a way i find interesting, but it's taken a...

Re: Rossum Control Forge and Satellite

i had a string of presets looped with every step set to 0 time except for two steps set to .0001 s — everything at 0V except for the two steps (out of approximately 56—7 looping patterns i think). The output frequency was def faster than the LEDs could keep up, but it was way beyond nyquist. I was t...

Re: What Do I Need to Use ONE Module In My Non-Modular Hardware Setup?

MIDI to CV is gonna probably be more expensive than the 909 kick drum module. If you're just trying to trigger the kick than you could eliminate the output module if you just had a passive attenuator tho.

Re: Rossum Control Forge and Satellite

ive been experimenting with control forge a lot and I came up with something kinda unique— one of the trigger options is "Any Jump", which means that it'll only send out a trigger SPECIFICALLY ON A JUMP. If you combine that trigger out option with a free running sequence and specify only steps 2,4,6...

Control Forge with only one output is it frustrating using it ? It can be if you're using it as a glorified EG; not so bad if you're (buff) multing the outs when using it for v/oct stuff. It's pretty damn awesome though when you create sort of a "master CV" that reacts to other modules and directs ...

The most significant change is that there's now a global clock source, so that you can run sequencers and things without connecting an external clock. Previously, you could do this with Metronome, but the update basically involves replacing Metronome with a standalone clock. The clock feature repla...
