Re: Jomox ALPHA BASE
holy moly trying to use the FM synth but I guess.. uh lmfao i remember that was my first thought trying to figure out the fm synth without the manual. i love how its described as "a little gadget" as if it was tacked onto the machine as an afterthought-- i think i'd miss it if it wasn't there thoug...

people still listen to/use presets?? deleting presets/figuring out how to delete presets is almost always the very first thing i try to do on anything. big deal, my mans rd is just trying to get paid.. and tbf he often creates some that are actually usable, his presets on eventide ultrareverb are re...

Re: Korg Opsix
korg has to get rid of these flimsy keyboards. they're unsightly and take up space which is my real issue. cool if you have a massive studio where you have space to stack keyboard synths on keyboard synths on some giant rack, but I'm sure space is at a premium for a lot of bedroom producers/people w...

hi there, My mouth making whistling noises to create a sequence is quite a physically taxing task that requires me to continuously use my mouth to create sound and everyone in the singing community, or let's say, everyone using vocal singing techniques, is pretty much fascinated about it. I wonder w...

Re: Overstayer Modular Channel - Who has one?
Bumping this thread since I have some questions. I'm looking for something mainly to soften the transients + add very subtle saturation/coloring on ITB drums (eg. I really mean subtle, not like the YT demos of people cranking 808s through sherman filterbanks etc.) There's only a single demo I could...

Re: A bit of a rant. State of tech in 2020.
anyone bringing cirklon into the discussion as a triumph of hardware in the sequencer arena should realize its completely and utterly meaningless to anyone who does not already have a cirklon. the waitlist of 18 months is an eternity in the context of learning an instrument/writing music. i've been ...

youre not going to get anything special out of nothing but a kick module and some janky eurorack compressor...its just not going to happen. I call bs. Re: Best Drums (and other stuff?) for a Techno rack
if you really want a "thumping/booming" techno kick (eg. u want ur shit to sound like shed or something) you should honestly just do it in the daw. its gonna take some resampling, playing with a couple layers, some gated reverb, some eq, some more resampling and yea maybe even some compression. then...

damn i'd never buy a jomox for its sequencer or ui. i had an xbase 999, the ui was absolute trash, the sequencer was trash as well, but i really dont think thats the point of jomox boxes. i just remember immediately connecting it to my midi thru box, shoving it under my desk, and using it for a long...

Session view has an entire programming language for generative music creation recording and playback. None of it requires anything more then a mouse. It makes self playing patches. Most users will not become Ableton instructors or computer programmers but I would disagree that you need a monome lau...
