Re: Qu-Bit Nebulae v2

@fedor, I don't consider myself an expert in these things... I just can read and understand code ;) my understanding of this is... there are two ways to do time/pitch independancy - eiher in the frequency domain, or in the time domain. mincer/phase lock vocoder does this in the frequency domain. par...

Re: Qu-Bit Nebulae v2

i think thats badly worded... phase-lock vocoders is implemented by mincer granular is implemented by partikkel we can see here https://github.com/Qu-Bit-Electronix/QB_Nebulae_V2/blob/master/Code/instr/a_granularlooper.instr#L775 mincers output is not sent to partikkel instead it is mixed with the b...

Re: Qu-Bit Nebulae v2

you will need to recompile the externals, since the site linked above does not have arm binaries, only intel binaries. to compile, you will probably have to (at least) update the makefiles to support arm. (iirc, the compiler and other tools are on the nebulae, but not sure... as i usually cross comp...

Re: Qu-Bit Nebulae v2 - alternative software

@atomboyd what wifi stick are you using? are you sure its supports access point mode? (as you mention organelle, are you using one that works with the organelle? - I know this works ) if you get the purple leds, then Id say nebulae is trying to start the access point/connect to your network, and Id ...

well there's theory and practice... yes the code can be found here : https://github.com/Qu-Bit-Electronix/QB_Nebulae_V2/blob/master/Code/instr/a_granularlooper.instr its based around csounds mincer and partikkel ops https://www.csounds.com/manual/html/mincer.html https://www.csounds.com/manual/html/...

Re: Qu-Bit Nebulae v2

yes, you can modify the granular patch (its written in csound) or program your own patches in csound, puredata or supercollider (alt firmware) the 'smearing' will be an artifact of the granular processing, you can mix in the dry signal too. its up to you (and skills) really.... the 'only' hardware l...

Quick update... Ive been pretty busy on the dev front on the Percussa SSP. as of today, Ive now released 8 plugins for the SSP! ones already mentioned are : CLDS - MI Clouds RNGS- MI Rings PLTS - MI Plaits PMIX - a performance mixer with panning, main/out outputs and aux sends recently I also releas...

Re: Orca + Modular

Orca has no audio or cv support, so 'out of the box' your basically limited to midi/osc. (where you convert that midi/osc to cv is of course up to you) however, Orca is open source, so if you can code - then its possible to implement audio and cv. this is what I'm considering doing, but obviously it...

Re: Orca + Modular

I recently was experimenting with running Orca on the Percussa SSP eurorack module... https://www.instagram.com/p/CGLZn4qBURc/media/?size=l just plug in a qwerty keyboard into the SSP and away you go... currently Orca only supports midi (so I interface this to my midi2cv modue), but I'm thinking of ...

I don't understand how this could have worked either... my only two guesses are: a) the board has been changed by Qubit so that this...

you have something missing...there should be a little adapter than goes from the usb, to the 6 pin connector.

Re: Qu-Bit Nebulae v2

IIRC.... USB port... there is a cable that runs from the rPI usb port to the nebulae pcb/usb port .. this is very easy to dislodge. so Id take the Neb out of the case and check its plugged in firmly, and that you are not 'knocking' in on the rails as you mount it. I seem to remember having this issu...

Re: Qu-Bit Nebulae v2

to confirm its the usb drive... are you able to add new audio files? (if you can then the drive is fine, its more about the pd loading procedure) also what firmware are you using? if you are using my alternative firmware... then you could use wifi to not only upload pd patches, but you can see whats...

interesting... I guess if we compare whats in your 'simple' little program to the code in ttuitest we can see what the difference is. as you say, must be some initialisation thats expected...but not occurring... interesting that the issue is only on second display thought !? something to do with I2C...

Re: Instruo Lion Matrix Mixer

yeah, id not got to 1/4 with adapters, they tend to be bulkier/heavier than keeping to 3.5mm. but I'm happy to have the TRS male to 2xTS female... since these allow you to use longer cables where necessary, rather than being restricted to the length of the insert cables, and then having to potential...

Re: Instruo Lion Matrix Mixer

To make full use of its capabilities you need a whole lot of parts which flat-out don't exist as of now. that's a bit of an exaggeration.... whilst 3.5mm insert cables are not common, they do exist e.g Hosa YMM261 ... also Koma sell them as 'field kit feedback cable' they are also very simple to ma...

Re: terminal tedium (raspberry zero, pi2, pi3 codec / pd thing)

iirc the pots & cv are connected in hardware on the TT (like bela pepper) the four pots/cv are therefore used to control the parameters. (as controlling parameter and menu with just the single encoder would have been 'more than tedious' ;) ) this leaves two pots/cv plus digital inputs... now here Id...

Re: terminal tedium (raspberry zero, pi2, pi3 codec / pd thing)

I have one question though: Is it possible to use the cv inputs 3 and 6 and somehow pipe them straight into a patch? I have successfully converted some of my patches into ORAC modules however pretty much all of my patches use the 6 cv inputs/knobs and it would be great to have them all at once avai...

Re: DROID Universal CV processor

This is a really nice idea - I like it :) particularly like that it has a good number of cv in/out. is there any chance of the firmware being made open source, so devs could create their own 'circuits' (in C) ? (or if not open source, perhaps another way for devs to create circuits?) btw: i think a ...

Re: terminal tedium (raspberry zero, pi2, pi3 codec / pd thing)

I feel like ORAC has to be installed on a modified Norns image to get all the stuff preconfigured so ORAC can run on top. thats not true :) Orac/Mec etc, have zero connection to Norns... and run perfectly happily on rPI/Organelle etc that are usually based on Raspbian. of course, whatever distro is...

I only see v1.0.0-beta4, which I think is prior to this. is the bipolar branch the one with changes? should I build i...
