Re: [AVAILABLE] TTSH V4 Build Thread

So if I did match the transistors in the VCA and it still happens, not much more I can do about it? I also have the AC coupling caps in the filter already.

Re: [AVAILABLE] TTSH V4 Build Thread

Does anybody get a clicking sound from the VCA when it’s overdriven? On my ttsh, when you push the VCA with high input (sliders on the filter fully open), or with a high CV on the VCA I get a kind of LFO like click in the sound. Could that be a trimmer issue in the VCA gain or something like that?

Gas voltage regulators would produce a lot of heat.

Caps are here. Took a bit longer than expected, but I think it's worth it. Really puts the finishing touch on the TTSH.

Re: Northern Light Modular - What we are working on

The original post mentions adaptations of creative commons share alike files that are supposed to be available for others, but I do not see links or files here. Can someone be so kind as to share where these board and panels are hosted? I am interested in building all of the Mutable, 4MS and MXMXMX...

Re: Fritzing parts library

I think most kicad. Fritzing hasn't been updated in years I believe. Eagle is a other option. What are you trying to do with fritzing? Schematics and pcb design? Yeah, looking to make some PCBs of my own design (eventually), but right now just want to learn how to use some free or almost free piece...

Re: translucent LED slider caps- samples available

So we copy mistakes? The original didn’t have leds might as well cover those holes then! Regardless that arrow is too large in proportion to the cap size even in comparison to the real arp. Shrink it down. Yes the ARP2600 was obviously a mistake. But please do tell us about all your design accompli...

14 August 2020 update--- According to USPS tracking the slider caps should arrive here TODAY. They will be shipped out ASAP to those who ordered them, along with any other missing bits you might be expecting (midimplants, et al) https://media.giphy.com/media/1jkV5ifEE5EENHESRa/giphy.gif How many ca...

Re: Supercell: expanded version of Clouds + Superparasites firmware

Legally, Wes was in the clear; That is but the opinion of one non-lawyer. I don't want to debate it as there is no point whatsoever for synth nerds to chime in but only a court would actually determine that. Just want to call that out since your post says it as fact. This. On top of the open-source...

Fritzing parts library

Hi, anyone here have a synth related Fritzing parts library I can import? Looking to learn to create some PCBs, but I'm missing some bread and butter parts, and can't find them anywhere.

Re: Supercell: expanded version of Clouds + Superparasites firmware

[Honest question: why are you defending this lack of respect for Emilie’s wishes (ie the violation of the licence and original designer’s clear wishes and intentions). Do you think that everyone should take MI designs, adapt and then close source them, or do you think this exemption should only be ...

Re: Supercell: expanded version of Clouds + Superparasites firmware

I don’t think there’s any irony to be seen. There’s a difference between what he did, and what he’s afraid of other people doing. The Supercell is a vastly enhanced design to the original Clouds. He doesn’t want the market to be flooded with a bunch of low-effort exact duplicates absurdly undercutt...

Re: Supercell: expanded version of Clouds + Superparasites firmware

This is irrelevant. You either abide by the open sourcing guidelines at the risk of getting cloned, or you create your own stuff which by all means don’t open source. What you can’t do is say, of course I will follow the same license for any derivatives I create, no wait I changed my mind. You're r...

Re: Supercell: expanded version of Clouds + Superparasites firmware

Well I'm surprised, this is only about half as bad as I expected and there is the occasional glimpse of utility :) ...on very little effort in comparison to people who actual design these modules. I'd question that assumption. Also you're maybe underestimating the volume built by bedroom cloners (a...

Re: Grayscale Mutable clones aren’t open source anymore?

"If he does right by Émilie, then I will be satisfied." If you do right by someone only after your ass gets dragged all over social media, does it count? Asking for a friend Yes of course it counts. Otherwise what would be the incentive to ever right a wrong? Heck I’d be interested in the Buchla mo...

Re: Supercell: expanded version of Clouds + Superparasites firmware

On some level I actually appreciate this discussion (though not the personal attacks). I've been stressed and isolated lately like many people are and the cloning stuff has certainly not helped. One particular issue that happened with a dealer a few months ago made me feel that taking down the repo...

Re: Supercell: expanded version of Clouds + Superparasites firmware

The problem with changing your mind in this case is that you unilaterally changed your mind, even though you promised to abide to the same license.

I will say this to you: I don’t care that legally you are in your right (which I don’t know that you are). This is a shitty move. Hence the thread title.
