Re: ADM16 DubJr Mk2 in an Intellijel Palette

Do you have the module in a Palette? What have you tested so far? I very vaguely remember having an issue with a module in an Intellijel 7u case, it could have been an Audio Damage one or something else. I very vaguely remember that the issue would only happen if I plugged in the power for the case ...

I can't wait to see what this new device he's cooking up is.
where’d you hear about a new device? link please.
I don't have a specific link, but he's been pretty open on the Facebook group that he's been working on something. No actual details or hints on what it is though.

Re: Deep noise modules

Cool, a noise thread! Sounds like OP is looking for something to compare with what the E352 offers. It would be helpful for those like myself who are less familiar with the E352 to detail the features that make the noise section so useful. But, it sounds like there are only three main things that ar...

Re: Intellijel Tetrapad

Longpressing, or holding down the record button, should clear out the looper. Nice, will try this tonight. Does that clear the previously set loop length too? So that the next loop which is recorded then takes its length from the ‘loop length’ setting in the menu? (Or defined by however long you re...

Re: Intellijel Tetrapad

Many thanks for your help. I will have to try some of that when I get home from work. I’ve been thinking about it a bit today - it’s almost as if the software is lacking the ability to delete the existing content in the looper. I know you can touch the pad in record bypass mode to delete the record...

Re: Intellijel Tetrapad

How does the module decide how long the play bar at the bottom takes to move along its full duration? Changing the loop length of the looper doesn't seem to change this at all. SO having performed the system reboot I now seem to be stuck recording 4 bar loops - I can't seem to alter it. My tete mod...

Re: New SSF Entity Release - Percussion Synthesizer

Working on a new Entity Kick right now and a new percussion will follow. Now is the time for any requests on the new Perc and will try and implement what I can into the design. The new kick will be quite different from the Bass/Drum but you will still be able to make bass lines like the original. T...

Re: Roland System 8

I have both, only recently I found them a little too redundant on their own to warrant keeping both,so I currently have the System 1m listed for sale here. If you can deal with the 4 voice count vs 8, the System 1m fits in a lot more places than the System 8 does, but I would rarely use the patch po...

Re: Interface suggestions?

I have been looking into upgrading my interface as well. My knowledge on the topic is pretty limited, but it is my understanding that your two main options are to get an 8 channel interface that allows you to expand by adding additional 8 channel pre-amps and linking them (usually via ADAT) OR get a...

Can anyone tell me if the INTELLIJEL FSR 1U if truly pressure sensitive, or surface area sensitive (as is the case for most so called pressure sensitive modules)? If I am understanding you correctly, it is pressure sensitive. I tried placing my entire thumb over the pad, contacting as much surface ...

It is when I had all my patches (over 70 now) meticulously sounding great at -4dB (what I assumed was) Unity Gain on the VCA and Main Out, but now some of them distort... I never once questioned its level or found it to be a "quiet synth". :( Has this been passed along to UDO? Sounds like they are ...

Re: Ensemble Oscillator from Matthias Puech & 4ms Company

For instance, let's say you wanted to write something in F pentatonic minor. You could program a pentatonic minor scale into ENOSC (using the octave or 12TET setting), tune it so that the lowest possible root landed on F0, and then sequence the Root input. This would be fine, if you limited it to o...

Re: Ensemble Oscillator from Matthias Puech & 4ms Company

I am on the fence about this module. Sounds like it is pretty playable on it's own, but wondering how manageable it is playing with other voices. I looked at the manual and it sounds like if I was only using one oscillator on the Ensemble, it would be easier to keep in tune with other voices, but if...

I doubt it’ll be soon, and I don’t buy synths based on what might be added later, but at least it’s a possibility and would be very very cool! Oh indeed, just interesting to hear. I know they have more bugs to workout and add the rest of the basics in the firmware before they start addressing new f...

Re: U.D.O. Super 6 hybrid "binaural" poly

It’s a very elegant and versatile setup. On the Gearslutz Q&A with George, he talked about there still being 40% of the FPGA unused and 70% of the CPU, so room for more stuff in future updates. He mentioned wanting to be able to add scanned wavetable synthesis, which would be very exciting and put ...

Also excited to see AKWF waves. I have only skimmed through the manual so far: There is no way to manipulate the waveform itself further, is there? Seems like the PWM slider only affects the pulse wave.

The Happy Nerding 2xSAM module should do what you need. Can be configured via jumpers to bring line level up to modular levels in stereo in 4hp:

The thing about these threads is they usually lack a lot of context. If you are listing your favorite module that does X, but you don't list other modules you have used that you picked it over and why, it does not really help. I have used the following modules for hats: 2 HP Hats WMD Crucible An amp...

Re: Expanding keyboard X stands and stability

Thanks for the responses all. I think I am going to go for a Z stand that has a high weight capacity. These seem to run about $60 new, which isn't that bad. I already own the expander in the original post, so it would be less of a hassle than finding a 2 tier stand and then re-selling the expander. ...

Re: Expanding keyboard X stands and stability

Maybe try a two tier X stand and a lower X stand beneath. It works for me. That's not a bad idea. It would certainly be cheap enough to grab a used X stand locally. Do you place the second one behind the first one, as a way to prop it up? I suppose along those lines, I could build some type of supp...

Expanding keyboard X stands and stability

Hi all, I tried adding an universal expander to my X stand shown below that adds a second and third tier to the the stand. This would be great, but when I attach it to the stand, the stand wants to fall backwards. I tried using heavier keyboards and this helps slightly, but I am still scared to use ...

Have you considered CV.OCD? It takes pedal power, which sometimes isn't as nice as having something in the rack, but it takes no HP. On that same note, if you only need to sync to the DAW and nothing else, have you looked into Bastl Klik? https://www.tindie.com/products/hotchk155/cvocd-a-super-flexi...
