How can you think of risking the damage to your vintage wig collection by removing them from the hermetically seal display cases?

I only have a half finished box11 and my hair is very short. My daughter has a ponytail though and since she's 4 the size difference is comparable :P

Grove Audio is floating around here at Muff's 5U...... Grove is pretty much a one man operation, so keep that in mind. I have nothing but admiration for John at Grove. He is one of the first people I go to see at Knobcon. Be patient, he will get back to you! I have the GMS 904 filter replica that I ...

@rupect I have used midi with a DAW for 20 years.....I don't have timing or latency issues*. *MIDI has limitations, if you know and understand them, it helps! There is much to be said about setup in the OS environment. Once that is set, streamline how you use MIDI. If you are hellbent on using 16 ch...

Re: RE-303 Opinions wanted (now that it has been in the "wild" for a bit.)

The Syntecno had its own unique character that I really liked. Thicker, heavier bassier but good acid tone. I agree completely, the Syntecno just sounds a bit more punchy. Throw in the Ring mod....Holy Shit! That Ring mod circuit Robbie added was a brilliant addition in my opinion. I use that over ...

Re: RE-303 Opinions wanted (now that it has been in the "wild" for a bit.)

Older Roland equipment often features "cryptic workflow" that is not as "fast" as todays DAW-centric landscape but imo their designs are not a bore play with. Tedious at times yes. I do have an MC-505 that adopted the TR style programming. It is a a treat to use, it seems to have taken all the past...

So I have been living with the RE-303 for a couple weeks now and I dig it! Sounds good....plugged it into a ProCo RAT and instant acid bliss! I spent some time learning the TB-303 programming method and it was a HUGE eye opener. I don't think I have ever experienced a less intuitive programing exper...

Wall mounting would be a somewhat permanent installation, but if you don't plan to move stuff around a bunch, might no matter. I have been personally thinking of doing this myself and have some interesting ideas. I only have 4 "keyboard" synths so my ideas might not work with your particular setup. ...

Re: RE-303 Opinions wanted (now that it has been in the "wild" for a bit.)

So a bit of research later.....and....... The pots are shit on the TB-303/RE-303. This is not saying anything bad about either....just that this was the case for an inexpensive bass synth from the 80s. The reinforced pots out there (via MISW) is what I am going with. The builder has offered to swap ...

Let us know if there's a build quality issue or if that's simply how they are.
I got in touch with the builder...it seems that the spec pots (identical to the TB) just aren't that good. I am going to try to reach out to a couple other RE-303 owners and confirm. I will keep everyone posted.

Re: RE-303 Opinions wanted (now that it has been in the "wild" for a bit.)

I have messaged the seller my concerns about the pots. The other thing I have noticed is that the pots make a soft clicking sound as they wobble. I think Kumptronics was the builder but I don't know for sure. The other thing that concerns me is the inconsistency of the resistance tuning the knobs......

Re: RE-303 Opinions wanted (now that it has been in the "wild" for a bit.)

So I have in my possession a RE-303 in the aluminum case from Kumptronics. Very nice case, but I do have a couple complaints. One I already knew, and forgot about, the other well might just be inherent of the design. The first, the fucking knobs on a 303 are just to small for me....I had forgotten.....
