Re: Dove Audio MuSeq
I’ve been following what Paula does with this and final firmware is TBD but I’m also interested in this module. We all love our analog step sequencers for their simplicity and immediacy but it would be nice to have an option to have a sequencer that let me adjust the following PER STEP: gate length...

Re: Dove Audio MuSeq
The prototype main boards came in, but had a couple little details that Paula wanted to change for the run for the beta units. New main boards and panels are on the way so hopefully there will be a couple beta out in the wild for demos and videos by April! A quick video update...for direction and ra...

..... On those same notes. These are the last 2 new Dove audio filters left for sale. If you were on the fence but thought you missed them, there are 2 that need a good home! PM me if you are interested.

Re: Dove Audio 2069 F+A
just quick heads up in case anyone's module is like mine... I noticed the pots weren't snug against the panel so I took it out of my case to examine it. There was a nut being used as a spacer for the 24db/12db switch to make it flush with the pots. The nut was too large, causing the PCB to bend/war...

Re: Entry 5U System
Along the lines of inexpensive DIY...Frequency Central has a number of Kits that are fairly easy to build. I built 3 of the System X ADSR for just a bit over the cost of 1 pre-built model!

Re: Entry 5U System
also, I sold my 5U stuff a while ago. I was using a power one linear supply. not a lot of modules. my eurorack is running 12v from 15v dc just like the picture. I designed my own power system from scratch so I do have some experience testing these things. Oddly enough, I think Power One and Interna...

Re: Entry 5U System
I have built several power supplies to get rid of "wall warts" using the LM317. And just random testing showed they didn't need the 3 volt requirement for regulation. From what I tested at a 1A load at 12v regulated, the LM317 would still do it at 13.5v no problem. But there is always a difference i...

Re: Entry 5U System
I know about this solution but you are wasting %50 of the power as heat. 500mA moslab per rail is 1A per rail from your .com harness. If it was my personal system I would not even put them in the same case. your grounds are also super long since you put that on a .com harness. if you don't care abo...

Re: Stuffing the Dotcom 163 EuroRack Adapter?
Dave, I just got my DATA and I'm happy to report that it can be squeezed right next to the Maestro :yay: . I can only do it if the Maestro is on the right side and I can't screw in the bottom holes. Maestro has exact holes instead of the more flexible rounded-rectangle ones that you see on the DATA...

Re: Missing Modules in the Format
Mordax DATA.....some of us in the 5U world have been grumbling about a decent scope, the DATA is that and a whole lot more! I really don't think I will use all of the capabilities but the scope and tuning I see myself using quite frequently.

Re: Dove Audio 2069 F+A
So the filter is out of stock via Dove Audio. But, Paula was kind enough to make the the schematics and PCB files available for download. So the filter could most certainly be recreated should any Korg 2069 chips show up or get salvaged. I am not sure if the panel layout is included in the files for...

Those are pretty standard in the 5U world...Dotcom uses them. I have a 131 as well and it had been flawless for the past 6 years!

Re: Dove Audio 2069 F+A
Unfortunately I have to take back my description... I think i had a short on one of my dotcom power connectors. I noticed an EG was acting weird. Yikes!! Yeah double check your power for sure. It is one thing to lose a dotcom module, but a whole different experience to lose such an exclusive ...

Re: Dove Audio 2069 F+A
The 2044 (I have the Corsynth version) is a pretty good sounding filter to my ears. Different than a Roland style OTA but when you back the Dove filter down and not drive it too hard I think it has some of the same qualities of the 2044 as well. If you are curious about the 2044, I have an Elctrosmi...

Re: Stuffing the Dotcom 163 EuroRack Adapter?
So here is a bit of a mystery for everyone who has one of these....
What are the 4 screws for? two on the top row two on the bottom about 1/3 and 2/3 across the opening. On mine, there are just screws with nuts on the back not doing anything.

Re: Stuffing the Dotcom 163 EuroRack Adapter?
After I saw your reply I went to https://www.controlvoltage.net/ and they have the DATA in stock (wait WHAT?!) :goo: :yay: so I just put an order in. You will absolutely love the Maestro. I have an extra Q163 so I'll probably hook that one up as I currently don't have access to proper tools to cut ...

Re: Stuffing the Dotcom 163 EuroRack Adapter?
You guys are screwed. In two months, you're going to have 6U Euro cases to "supplement" your 5U monsters and be kicking yourselves for not going with 9U. You'll complain about 1/8" cables and 12v power for awhile, but Euro will break you. This module frame is a mere gateway drug. Nothing rea...

Re: Q174 MIDI Interface Connector Question
The definitive word from Synthesizers.com For this module that connector is used for testing only. Once it's programed with the Q174 software they are no longer used/active. Not as much fun as I had hoped  It just sounds like a reply that you would believe, but is it the truth....

Re: Stuffing the Dotcom 163 EuroRack Adapter?
So far I've only added a Maestro (clocked modulation controller) from Acid Rain Technology and I am blown away. As for the rest of the 15/16 HPs I hope to get my hands on a black Mordax DATA but it's been sold out everywhere. If any of you want to sell one please let me know ;) I pre-ordered a Mord...

Yeah - this is a cool module. Here's my take. Well I never.....you kids call that music? Why back in my day, when you had to walk to school (uphill both ways), if you wanted a drum you had to chase down and kill a goat with your bare hands just for the skin. And that was the EASY part....try tellin...
