I used Logic from the emagic days until recently. I was using Logic for a live performance and the audio bus froze. I lost two channels and several effects during the start of my show and I had to complete with my outboard gear. I was pretty embarrassed and of course my performance was compromised. ...

Picked up the mk3, I'm enjoying it quite a bit and it's going to do what I need which is an ultra flexible sampling/beatbox. pro's: Pad sensitivity is excellent, sound quality is excellent, very good sampling, tons of presets and fast bank loading, tons of tactile control. Sweet displays. The smart ...

I always pop back into Reason because I think the synths and modulation are great. Using the step sequencers to drive modular is a nice workflow too. The interface has some usability no-no's ie: scrolling up and down on the mixer. The sequencer is probably the fastest I've worked with(use Logic, Bit...

In terms of quality, degradation aside, it is still clearly worlds above streaming audio and mp3's. As digital memory and bandwidth specs continue to increase that gap will close up a bit and who knows whether new mediums and codecs will show up. Some people argue subjectivity over the sound discuss...

That video of Form was a good demonstration that there's enough under the hood. Like many synths, the first impression of Form is very flat especially when you rifle through the presets. Seems like NI rushed it out a little bit in that regard. But getting into the modulation parameters, as demonstra...

Thanks for the video!

I've been playing around with Bitwig since it came out. This is one of those things, along with all the great modulation options, that will keep me coming back to this DAW. If they decide to add Audio Unit support it's a done deal for me! :sb:

On a fresh Win10 install, you can choose a custom install and disable all usage tracking, diagnostics, location services etc. You can always enable that stuff later if you find you really need it.
