Re: Metropolis 2 sequencer concept

Some more ideas… Tap to set the value for a step, or swipe to create an entirely new sequence. That’d be so much quicker and easier than using sliders or encoders. ... great ideas and mockups! wish I could make animations like this so easily, it would help make some of my arguments to other manufac...

Re: LFO Choice

the only (currently in production) quad lfo that might top my batumi for power and immediacy is the kermit mk3, which I don't have yet but suspect might end up replacing my batumi's roles in my 7u system.

Re: piston honda mk3 vs e352

but back to my main point: the PH MKIII is my favorite non-VST wavetable oscillator and is a beautiful work of interface design. and what is it in VST land ? ohh yeah, and i know you don´t wanted to sell me a PH3 you don´t wanted to sell me a PH3 .....and i´m cured anyway  ahhh, and another th...

Re: piston honda mk3 vs e352

ok i see. so technically it seems to be possible but the code needs to be changed. what was scott´s reply to your feature request? if more people would +1 for this than maybe it will be done – on a future ph mk version or a firmwareupdate. at least for me the "cv" input is kind of redundant and cou...

Re: piston honda mk3 vs e352

good to know. thanks for pointing out… i reaad now a bit in the ph3 thread. if i understand one of your posts than on the ph3 there is no dedicaded fm index cv-input for ext fm. so i would need an ext vca to do this? what about the normalled internal fm cross mod. is there a way to cv-mod the fm in...

Re: piston honda mk3 vs e352

no, but you can load in wavetable banks (such as bank A from the e350, or the more sinusoidal one from Plaits) that contain sine harmonic series progressions, and work with those waves between the two oscillators in your 2-op fm configuration. I do this a lot on the PH Mk3

Thank you, I was confused :bang: , after seeing some Odessa and Elements videos, for my needs clearly more interested in Elements. I've got a lot of VCOs capable of Odessa tricks.
curious: which VCOs are those?

Re: piston honda mk3 vs e352

thanks for the feedback, guys! now iam curious if the vco´s of the ph can also set to harmonic ratios like one can do with e352? no, but if you read the manual you'll find that there are some "unison" options that include detuned, octave up, octave down, fifth up, and fourth down. but it doesn't wo...

Re: piston honda mk3 vs e352

E352 if you absolutely need to do the "cloud morph" thing. that's its big unique trick, to me, when you start to compare on sound and features. outside of software synths the only other thing that gets into that territory is the ASM Hydrasynth. my choice was, hands down, PH MKIII. I don't need more ...

Re: Xaoc Odessa, 1975 Variable Spectrum Harmonic Cluster VCO

put it through a wavefolder Joey the naked sound of this oscillator sometimes reminds me of the things Mark Mothersbaugh did to a Fairlight for the Rugrats theme. it transforms completely when you wavefold it, which also forces you to exercise more restraint on the number of partials and inharmonici...

Some others that come to mind:
- intellijel quadrax
- klavis quadigy
I don't think the Quadrax has level CV - at least assuming that we mean the same thing by "level CV" (I understood it as output attenuation)
yes it does. output amplitude is one of the destinations in the "CV matrix."

Smacks myself in the head. Thanks Os!!! How did I not know this. :( had a similar moment when I realized the delay algorithm also works on CV, not just audio. because the module's inputs are DC coupled many, if not most, of the algorithms that are described as primarily intended for use with audio ...

Re: Xaoc Zadar, Quadruple Envelope Generator + Nin expander

I love this thing! But i am really beggin for a poly mode where you only need to adjust one channel. Wy workaround is a multiple to all cv ins for the warp value for example but it would be fantastic to have a link mode where all parameters are copied from A to B,C,D. I know there is not much memor...

Re: Intellijel Tetrapad

It would be nice to have some very basic probability control in the sequencer, as I personally find a little automatic variation essential, but it's a VERY small point and it's early days with the firmware. If you mean some kind of stochastic change over step position, you could try sending an exte...

Re: Xaoc Odessa, 1975 Variable Spectrum Harmonic Cluster VCO

the only "limitation" I can think of (and the only request that I've seen repeatedly come up throughout this thread) is that the fundamental is always present in the partials outputs, even when the fundamental output is being patched out. I just think it would have been smarter to subtract it from t...
