Re: What are your patching and unpatching strategies for your modular synth?

Things I want to try are:
-organizing cables with cable cords so I can see better parts of the modular.
-using only long cables so they lay down and I can see more parts of the modular
-The trick of unpatching with sound to find unexpected sweet spots is good too.

What are your patching and unpatching strategies for your modular synth?

I mostly use Doepfer cables and all of them have a color/length relationship, so I know exactly what cables are longer and what are shorter. For me, this is the quickest way to manage the cables. Talking about unpatching, I tend to place them in order, by colors, in my cable holder (a gift from Ladi...

Rojo - Prepared piano and modular

https://youtu.be/ZlEE-I-DRso I tried to make a Krell patch and finally ended doing another thing. This is inspired by the vampiric terror trilogy "Rojo", from Carlos Sisí. This is an improvisation for prepared piano over 3 voices of a modular synthesizer. Each one of the 3 voices from the modular al...

I received mine yesterday and I recorded this video. It really sounds GOOD, so I don't need to use external FX or plugins.

Re: Hemisphere for Ornament and Crime

Ok. Thanks for the explanation. I am learning a bit of coding, but my coding skills are still very poor for this.

You gave me another reason to try your branch. I already wanted to have a look at your new applets.

When I reboot the problem dissapears, but then after a few seconds the envelope freezes again.

Re: Hemisphere for Ornament and Crime

Hi! I am trying to use the AD EG envelope without success. I use 2 LFOs to modulate the attack and release using CV inputs 1 and 2. And I patch the B output (end of cycle trigger) to the Trigger input 1 making a loop. The envelope does nothing, but if I momentary patch another LFO to Trigger input 2...

I am trying to recreate a Krell patch these days but I don't find any AR envelope with an End if Cycle trigger between the Disting algorithms. Am I wrong? Could this be a feature request?

Re: Nerdsynth NerdSEQ - eurorack tracker/sampler

Thinking of adquiring a Nerdseq. What kind of randomness is Nerdseq able of doing? Can you play with probability per step? NerdSEQ has what I believe to be the most powerful probability functions of any eurorack sequencer. It’s one of the main reasons I chose it. Probabilities are ”effects“. They a...

Re: Expert Sleepers disting EX

This is using 2 Distings: Disting MK4 with the shift register F6 algorithm (Turing machine) sequences the Disting EX using the eight voice polyphonic sample player with Spitfire drums samples from the SD card. I never thought I would sequence drums with a turing machine! ;) https://youtu.be/AblW690B...

Re: Expert Sleepers disting EX

https://youtu.be/o3PKzFfefnU One Disting is sequencing using the Analog shift register algorithm. The Disting EX is playing the piano flutter multisamples. Also some of the samples from the Disting EX SD card (musicbox) where used for the Monome Norns GRD script. The samples included in the SD card ...

Atardecer - Beautiful colors at the sunset

https://youtu.be/o3PKzFfefnU During the sunset the light changes and becomes almost magic. The sunlight have to cross a longer distance to reach our eyes and the colors seem brush strokes from a painting. A delight for the senses that in this time of the year reaches its maximum splendor. This piece...

El canto del cisne - Ambient drone for modular (Disting EX, Mangrove, Plaits, Praga, PamelaNW,...) and Monome Norns

https://youtu.be/faQHPoKTe5Y Starting with the GRD script from @yotamorimoto, a granular cloud is created and speeds up slowly till the chaos during the whole track. GRD is a marvellous script for Monome Norns, still in development, that reproduces the sound of a music box randomly and granulary. Af...

Re: Expert Sleepers disting EX

Feature request: What I would love to see from the new Single mode are little modeled instruments. 6 parameters are enough to control simple organs, or plucked strings, percussive models, 4voice simple synths. Take the OP-Z with its 12 sound engines as an example. That would be great!

De viaje - Casio VL-Tone, Deluge and Eurorack Modular Synth

https://youtu.be/-Z9OKkWffi8 I am very happy with this track. Mixing different sources, analog and digital to obtain a full rich varied sound. I like the mix between the modular synth and its unstable sounds, slightly detuned, with the Deluge. I also rescued my Casio VL-Tone to make some melodies, p...

Re: Nerdsynth NerdSEQ - eurorack tracker/sampler

I don't have a Nerdseq, but I am seriously considering buying one. Talking about the tactile experience, it seems to me this could be a very pleasant option, seeing how you can use all the keys for navigation and writing music. Isn't there key combos to "play" the sequencer? to select next pattern, ...

One thing that I don't like about the Erica Sample Drum is that the samples must be mono.
Is the ALM Squid Salmple the same? or can I load stereo samples?

ALM is a top top company I like a lot. I own 2 modules from them and they are great. Their tech support is also very good!
