Re: Polyend Tracker
In the midst of lockdown looking for kicks I swapped out my digitakt/digitone combo for Tracker & Medusa. I'm still glad I did, because I find them both more interesting to use and I got a bit over the Elektron methods - to me the Elektron stuff is more suited to entering with a plan, while the Poly...

Re: I'm addicted to Phasers.
This looks interesting - Euro ins/out, apparently enough headroom for synth. No idea what it sounds like, no demos out there.

Re: Polyend Tracker
^That works thanks, must be something with one of my synths though because it doesn't always like it, seems to hang every now and then.

Re: Polyend Tracker
One thing I'm having trouble with is sending a note off message to external synths - I tried CUT and OFF, but neither seems to do the job. I can set the synth to a simple AD envelope an get one per new note, but it would be good to have controlled sustain. Any ideas, or is gate length control not ac...

Re: Polyend Tracker
I'd never used a tracker before and find it much easier to navigate than the Digitakt I used to have. it's not really that complex once you get into it. I reckon give it a go.

Re: Lyra-8 'Organismic' ambient synthesizer
Has anyone tried using an analog sequencer like 0-ctrl or pressure points to sequence their Lyra-8 through the CV in?
Do the oscillators maintain their relative tunings?

Re: Lyra-8 'Organismic' ambient synthesizer
IN my albeit limited time wit the Lyra-8, the options for subtle movement are turn vibrato on, modulation of the delay at low time settings or some slight detuning of unison oscillators, which reduces the notes in your drone.

Re: Good stereo reverb
Could you stretch to an Oto Bam? Pedal, goes well with synths, does long ambient stuff really well, and the plate is good for percussion.

I'd be interested to hear a comparison with the Oto BAM, both based on the same verbs.

Re: GRP A2
Seems like my experience as well, there's a lot to work with in what initially seems a fairly normal structure.
I do wish they replaced the VU meters with an external in, would love to run some other stuff through that filter.

Re: Dreadbox Medusa monosynth
I can't get my medusa to talk to my GRP A2 via midi, yet both can respond to other things (Keystep, Tracker) - any ideas?

Re: GRP A2
I notice the filter has aftertouch in as a mod source, but I can't find how to access that midi channel from my sequencer - is it possible, any ideas of what cc I'd address the sequencer too, or have i missed something?

Re: Dreadbox Medusa monosynth
It has some quirks, but I put it in the category of unique instrument rather than a does all things tool. The main issues for me are that the sequencer could have some more functionality - I've love to be able to split the grid into 4 regions for example, and then press a note to switch between them...

Re: Your Favorite Intellijel 1U modules
I've just got the 1u ins, and its really quiet - I have to run the ins and my digitakt at full volume to get it anywhere near a matching volume for my modular stuff, and is so its all a bit noisy. Anyone else had this? Are you using the newer audio board? Mine is like this too since upgrading from ...

Re: Dreadbox Medusa monosynth
I have had one for about a week now. It's a lot of fun for what you can get them for now, and the v.2 and 3 firmware seems to address a lot of criticisms and the sounds are great. Hopefully they add a clock divider for the sequencer.

Re: Rene V2, Playability & the Evolution of Make Noise
This needs to be seen with a bit of history. If you go back and read the threads about the early MN stuff, the DPO, Maths, phonogene, when Rene v1 came out, it was a very different world for eurorack. Fewer manufacturers, major forms of synthesis that were barely being explored, particularly the Buc...
