Re: Tunning of "free running" (0.000v) ocillators

Normally VCOs with rotary octave switches like the q106 and with no cv applied and fine tune in neutral position , they are tuned to C. In VCOs without octave ranges like my C104 or the ones in the odyssey or the ARP 2600 they are calibrated to a base frequency when the frequency knob is at minimum....

Re: 5U ssm2040 (SSI2140) filter options

My initial thought was Pablo (Corsynth) as the layout an implementation should be similar to his excellent 2044 offering! Thanks for thinking about me for this project  but I'm afraid that I will not do it. As other people have pointed out the SSM2040 is an OTA filter and despite it could have...

Re: My oscillators are bullies

Hi Putte , If you have your equipment in a room that you are nor using for a few days, and you turn on all your equipment the room temperature will change with the time and that will affect your VCOS, Also you need to wait for the temperature inside the modular cabinet to be constant ( the PSU and t...

Corsynth 9th Anniversary sale :)

Today is our birthday, Corsynth is nine years old!  The 19th of October of 2011 the C101 OTA Lowpass filter became our first module. In nine years we have released 20 different modules, we have sold hundreds of them, and we have many happy customers all around the globe (many of them ...

I've changed to etched front panels long time ago, the last silk screened front panels were the original C103. :)

Re: AD, AR or ADSR ?

Got my C111 a while ago, and It´s one of the best purchases I´ve made for my modular. I had six empty spaces and felt I would need three ADSR:s. Instead I´ve now got four left, and a bunch of AR/ASR. The C111 takes care of most of the need for envelope generators in my sequences, leaving many ADSR:...

Re: Re:

Wouldn't it be possible to add PCB hdr for selecting LIN/EXP? Could then choose whether LEDs or shape were more important. Just a thought, the module is already really good. No, it's not possible. I will need to redesigning the PCB and also try to find space in the front panel :hmm: :hmm: . When I ...

Re: Re:

I love my Quadras (I have 4) in Euro, would def be cool to see that functionality in 5u Hi 1960strat , the Corsynth C111 Multimode Contour generator is very similar to the Quadra. It has 4 AD/ASR envelopes with looping function. Also the envelopes can be combined in pairs to create more complex env...

Re: Corsynth DR-03

That's more or less the reason that I've decided to create the DR series. Drum synthesis take a lot of resources and patching. If you take a look to the block diagram that I've posted, think about all the modules that you would need to create the same patch.

Re: Corsynth DR-03

In general modular doesn't make sense if you think about the money . For the same amount of money that you will expend in just 3 vcos you could buy a polysynth :tu:

Re: Corsynth DR-03

Yes the module itself can produce a lot of different sounds and when you play with the modulation inputs you can get really nice tone variations. The metal part despite been simple, it's possible to use it even as a basic synth. It will be available next Monday and some of them are already on their ...

Re: Corsynth DR-03

Thanks Kindredlost , I'm happy that you like it. I've tried to make it as versatile as possible and to give the user the control to design it's own sound. About the demos some of them are just the DR-03 and the others have "soloed" the DR-03 part at the end of the demo. In general the only sounds th...

Re: Yusynth VCO problems

After seen the 10K saw I think that the problem that you are having is that C8 is not discharging fast enough. Check the Gate of Q1, you should see a pulse that should be something under 10 microseconds long. If it's longer or take to long to rise, the problem could be in the comparator U5. Try for ...

Re: Yusynth VCO problems

The saw in the 100hz seems that is not centered and it doesn't have 10Vpp. The saw wave has to be more or less 10Vpp and go from +/-5V. Any unbalance between the positive and negative side will affect the triangle and the sine wave. But again this can be an effect of the oscilloscope been in AC mode...

Re: Yusynth VCO problems

You should check all your waveforms in DC mode. As you could see with the pulse the AC filtering affects the shape wave form.
