Back catalog of techno now on Bandcamp
Hey fam! In anticipation of some fresh material coming this spring to Chroma Recordings, I've uploaded 12 releases of the Chroma back catalog to Bandcamp. This is now the only place to get these tracks. The releases are from the 2010-2013 era, and have not been available digitally for the last five ...

Re: Arturia rackbrute cases
I regret to inform you that neither will fit. Measuring to the nearest quarter-inch: The handle is just under 20.25" long (wide). The RackBrute 6U itself is 19.25" W by just over 11.75" H by just over 3.25" D — plus however tall your modules' knobs are. @kpreid , thanks for your time and reply! You...

Re: Arturia rackbrute cases
Does anyone know the width and height dimensions of the case itself? (i.e.without the handle and knobs)? And also, what is the max width of the handle by itself? (knobs removed). I have an HPRC 2550 hard case I'd want to put this in, if it can fit. Interior Dimensions 20 x 11.2 x 8.2" / 50.8 x 28.4 ...

Re: Dreadbox - Typhon
It’s nice being able to use the internal sequencer, locked in sync with the Octatrack, with its own internal swing just jamming along: https://youtu.be/8pWZARtO_t8 I also love how you can restart/offset the sequencer based on the set division size. I wish other gear with internal sequencers had this...

Re: Dreadbox - Typhon
Dreadbox has said that the LED faders will illuminate in a future firmware update. Perhaps not this forthcoming update, and I am fine with that, as there are many more pressing issues to be addressed. Thanks Adam, good to know! I managed to grab a used Typhon and should have it Monday. Would you mi...

Re: Arturia PolyMatrix / PolyBrute coming?
I think it is a fantastic sounding poly synth. And oddly, as someone who is usually turned off by both wood paneling, and the general look of Arturia's Brute line of synths, this one "looks" rather sharp. The morphee gives me that old Nord Lead 1 wooden stick vibe, but for a new age. Great to see it...

Re: Good synth to pair with a Digitakt?
I'm looking forward to Micromonsta V2
Bitimbral, 3 OSC, 12 voices, "lush" reverb (we'll see).
Should do the trick for both pads and chord stabs, sequenced from Digitakt.
Coming Q4 2020: https://www.audiothingies.com/product/micromonsta2/

Re: MAM Warp 9 kaputt!
That's rough. I hope you can get it fixed because they are somewhat hard to come by these days. Got real excited when I saw the Warp 9 pop up as a topic of any kind, as I had a pair 20 years ago and always found it magical that I could run them as stereo with one controlling the other and a simple M...

I haven't processed external audio yet, but the distortions and reverb are quite good. Mix parameters on all, so easy to dial in with subtlety.

Neat - love the Typhon sounds and the robot tabecloth(?)! Bandana actually! My friend if Philly made some face masks from the same material too. Some Typhon sequences and patches I made.
Hit the LA-2A in the MOTU UL MK4 on the way in, so it is on the loud side (warning).

Re: Dreadbox - Typhon
I’ve had mine for a few hours now, enough time to make a few patches and sequences, and even record some stuff with other gear, and here are my initial thoughts. Booting it up, it just sounds so good and has a finished from the start. Once you begin digging into your own patches, modulation, and seq...

Thanks, I messaged them on Instagram. They read it.
I am hopeful other people can communicate these wishes as it’d be a great way to blow open the mod seqs’ capabilities.
Ordered mine a few days ago from Detroit Modular. Well, pre-ordered, at least.

From the manual, regarding the mod sequencers' behavior... Re: The Elektron Model:Cycles Thread
Mekohler made an editor for MC and MS. It’s called Tensor and it runs on iPad. Randomize facilities as well. Most use it as a randomizer first but it also works as a standard editor. It does not edit the lower level parameters beneath the macros, as Elektron has said that is a special sauce they won...

This one is M:C into Elektron A4 which has all OSCs off. Just running the M:C into the A4 filters and heavily modulating them with pitch tracking LFOs, various pitches, arps, and conditionals sequenced on the A4. some A4 shakers and strings added: https://soundcloud.com/inoperabledata/mc-into-a4-gn...
