i dont think ive ever been so torn by a module before. on one hand Odessa sounds so so cool, on the other i get paralysis every time i use it because its hard to choose which of a million sweet spots you want to use

The demo for this sounds really good. The 4hp size is great too for this. This will have to be my first wavefolder (except one i had in shapeshifter once)

Re: Eventide Euro DDL alternative to Mungo D0?

saw this thread and ill follow up as since then ive owned both and ill easily say that the Eventide does not replace the Mungo. The Euro DDL is more for people who want a full featured typical delay line in a reasonable amount of HP. It does take audio rate frequencies but the result is nothing like...

Re: Good Panning Mixer?

Damn the promodular looks super good. I was in to buy a mutamix but that seems way better ive not used the Mutamix but ive had other Intellijel mixers and i stand by what i said of the Promodular. My only disappointment would be the stereo output was not hot enough to drive my headphones. But i alm...

Re: Stackable Cables by TipTop: Bad?!

ive had tons of issues throughout the years. you just touch a stackcable when youre jamming and it makes that tell-tale scratchy sound of a loose connection. just not worth it for me. have thrown a bunch in the trash. i currently only use the very smallest ones and from the newest color green and on...

Re: Schippmann to end Eurorack production

Quad invert is a CV inverter, not a gate inverter it will not work as expected (0V in = 0V out). You also now know that I’m doing all x4 so plog has been discarded I prefer a (much) more compact and oriented module even if I don’t have all logic functions (it’s mainly inverting I need) ;) right on ...

Re: Schippmann to end Eurorack production

theres an Intellijel Quad Invert, that should work right? i was thinking about getting one for the DTG i was also lookin at Intellijel Plog, seems unmatched for compact logic modules and a couple Frap Tools 333, maybe a 321 also been trying to decide on utilities for a while and this is my best effo...

Re: Schippmann to end Eurorack production

great thanks for all the info. ive been needing to order more utilities to get the best of my DTG but ill definitely post some things about it The tuning!! its wildly good. What i notice when i use the Ableton tuner is there is virtually zero wavering of the tuning on the OPhi, its just spot on and ...

nice that was really cool. i like the ratchet sounding fast lfo that you degrade the original filtered sound into. is that the DTG retriggering somehow? if so please do share :)

im actually interested how you patch cross-modulation too, i liked the sound (on the pads right?)

Re: Schippmann to end Eurorack production

trying it now. just straight waveforms into some of my mixers as i already knew, it does not happen for me with the Quadropol sounds super clean. or the even the Cwejman MX-4s if i go atraight in with waveforms and max knobs out, the LEDs are all green indicated no overloading and it sounds clean al...

Re: Cwejman MMF-1s

thats funny, when i first got my MBC-3 i was going mad from the noise level, i thought it cant possibly be this loud... solved by changing the intellijel power supply to Malekko Power, also this solved issues with my Verbos stuff. I can also attest to the Mungo power supply working good with Cwejman...

Re: Fixed Filter Banks - Long-term use, same-y results?

yes! Bark Filter is great with a mid side processor. i have the Worng m/s processor and it really expands the possibilities of spreading the frequency range across the stereo image. Putting the Even and Odd outputs direct to left/right is cool of course but it usually leans one way pretty heavily

Re: Good Panning Mixer?

Promodular MIIIIX for high quality the quality is VERY close to Cwejman MX-4S, but with added direct channel outputs, extra gain switches and half the price im selling one, because i jumped on a MX-4S recently. The main difference is the VCAs, which are slightly nicer in the Cwejman and the knobs do...

I just configure with the web tool GUI and then save it directly from there into the module. its super fast and easy and also quick to load again. Re: Disapointing Modules

Actually, in that respect, Expert Sleepers FH-2 is a bit of a let-down too. It's hugely powerful, but cranky to configure. I've encountered a problem where the config as surfaced in the configurator is sometimes not the same as the what the device is doing. Part of the problem is the quirky "config...

Re: Favorite distortion 6-8hp or less

youll see me give lots of praise for the schippmann DST2. i would describe it as a highly defined distortion. Has a nice natural compression type of effect, it can be used to tame transients in some scenarios without ruining the soul of the sound. theres a wide range between subtle/hard, how it shap...

Can you patch the CVP as a ring modulator or would it be better to have a dedicated one ? yes, carrier > crossfader input 1 carrier > inverter (use other cvp channel if needed) > crossfader input 2 modulator > crossfader cv input doing it right now, sounds good to me. although i have other ringmod ...

Re: Cwejman ADSR's impact on sound

I really wish people would stop thinking that this is somehow a binary proposition, as if one either cares about the sound or the scope but not both, and each for their own reasons. It’s frankly a disappointingly shallow and narrow world view, and yes, it is happening right here in this thread, and...
