Don't think I've ever seen a grackler for sale since they were discontinued. Always regretted not getting one while they were being produced

Re: Modern Cassette Recorders

Agreed about the crazy price hikes - those shoegazey ambient YouTube droners have much to answer for! One thing as a long time tape user/struggler - more used decks than not I've bought have been non functional despite advertised as working. Not just eBay but local - guess a similar experience to ol...

Re: R*S CROCODILE

Looksand sounds like a cool panel, best RS one yet IMO I totally disagree on that. Why don't they make more La Bestia II panels? Whatever happened to them? These would be much better to have in my opinion. These are almost the equivalent of a Random*Source Animal panel IMO. I guess the La Bestia is...

The price! Was $949 preorder right? Now $1499!
I pre-ordered June 2019 for $909.. there was a $50 discount thrown out in a live stream so used that, otherwise yea it was $949 without that discount.
That's a $40 discount :hihi:
Nearly went for it on preorder - 0% chance for 1499 though!

Re: Bagoly Frequency Shifter (LW-format) Quick Patch

I think the resonator is the most extraordinary thing, my new favourite module I'd love to read about or hear what you're doing with that. The Dixon frequency shifter is introduced in the big Dixon thread in the DIY forum. Here's a post with a demo. https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f...

Re: Bagoly Frequency Shifter (LW-format) Quick Patch

Thanks for info, Lud! I'm definitely interested in the resonator and delay. I'm tossing up between the Bagoly frequency shifter and the Haible. Dave Dixon also has a new frequency shifter as well, which he's willing to build in 4U. Decisions.... Get em both! I wouldn't mind... Any more info on the ...

Re: Bagoly Frequency Shifter (LW-format) Quick Patch

They're all incredibly hi fi sounding to my (terrible) ears. I have also tried his quadrature vco which is really incredible. Afraid I can't share demo's to a shite non working smartphone and awful internet connection but he and loudest warning have clips on Instagram. Great sample there syncretism!

Re: Bagoly Frequency Shifter (LW-format) Quick Patch

I have 3 bagoly modules built by LW for me which are all amazing - quad bandpass resonator (think res4/qmmf4), frequency shifter and the digital delay (time processor - like the mungo d0 or wad, suitable for karplus and much more)
