Zaquencer has been good to me, with it's 32 steps. Makes me wonder how a lot of people get by with just an 8-step sequencer that is so common in Euroland. Main downside of Zaquencer is that it's MIDI only.

I also sequence from Linux with renoise, seq24, harmonyseq, or qmidiarp.
