My pico DSP clips really easily. It's in my small lunchbox system and I don't have a spare attenuator. I read the whole thread, seems there's no trimmer for the input (Is this true? Guess I could pull it out and look.) . I need an airtenuator.

You folks can nerd debate this all day but the bottom line is a CS-80 is poly and making it mono is pointless. Its a guitar with one string. Make one with 3-4 poly and we are talking.

Im a big CS-80 fan. But a single voice for that much is out of my range. I wonder if they can be linked for poly? Anyway, I have patches that get close enough.

Fantastic looking module either way.

I had my Generator sitting unused for a long time. I found a vintage metal lunch box of the show Space 1999 a few weeks ago and went "hmmmm". If you don't know the show you are better off because it was terrible. Anyway I built a 42hp box and put the Generator X, a Peaks, an EKO, and such..... Best ...

Hey all, I finally got around to trying out MIDI playback J1. When I select J1 the display flickers "J1" and the algo selection knob becomes unresponsive. This happens on all of the J algos. To add, the algos don't function. I was on firmware 4.10 and upgraded to 4.11 but the issue persisted. Anyon...

I recommend the Pittsburgh 301. It's a full voice with MIDI and gives you plenty of case to fill.

What about using a Mutable Instruments Ears and a microphone to route the drums through it’s envelope followers and gate detector? Exactly. Contact mic on the bass drum and the drummer becomes your clock source. Only if they play evenly spaced notes the whole time like 1ppqn, which is unlikely. Yes...

Nice old thread I'm surprised it didn't have more conversation. I find with any pitch tracker I've used, high frequencies work better. It's easier for the tracking to lock on to more dense oscillation. I got a Sonnus years back and the Disting 4 tracks better. You just nees to boost your signal to 1...

Yes but drummers want to control time and then 5 people just start jamming. It's hard to join a jam by convening everyone to start with your clock. At least in my circles. The drummer is the clock and they don't produce a MIDI signal.

I record any play with a collaborator. This is way easier to tote than my 360hp case. A lot of my friends are in rock bands where it's almost impossible to use a traditional modular. They don't understand "clock" or patch time. so I made this as playable as I could. It's been a blast. The "hippy" ja...
