Re: [Build Thread] 157 spaces of fun! (Euro conversion question)
Just some minor progress... wiring of the dual Horstronic wave slicers is done! Those little blue meanies pack a lot of control in such a tight space. I, glad I did these in 5U instead of Euro, my clumsy ass big fingers can’t navigate those tiny knobs. Last night I started wiring up 4x Barton Dual N...

Re: Win a TRIATT from Lower West Side Studio
You plug the input jack in, you pull the input jack out, you plug the input jack in, and you shake it all about
You do the Hokey Pokey and you turn yourself around
That’s what it’s all about
^^^if I owned any of your modules, that’s how I would use them.

Re: [Build Thread] 157 spaces of fun! (Jack wiring question)
I have a question about manually wiring the jacks of a euro module I’m converting to 5u, and will be manually wiring everything... which wire goes to the tip, switch and ground when the jacks are directly wired like this? I’m unfamiliar with this type of little itty bitty euro jack. I see there’s an...

I have a question about manually wiring the jacks. I’m building a par of these in 5u, and will be manually wiring everything... which wire goes to the tip, switch and ground when the jacks are directly wired like this? I’m unfamiliar with this type. I see there’s an indicator on the board on which w...

Re: [Build Thread] 157 spaces of fun!
Next up, I’m working on a pair of Barton QTLFO. They are a pretty cool little module, it’s a “quad-trapezoid LFO”, and it kind of plays out like a little 4-step sequencer. I have 2 of them together, with 4-Barton Dual Nice Quantizer - so all 8 trapezoids can get quantized... followed by a pair of wa...

Re: [Build Thread] 157 spaces of fun!
It’s finally happened. I finished my first set of modules. The bank of 10 Barton Quad VCA Mix modules are DONE. About 400 feet of Wire later, I finally have 10 finished modules in my system. They are only VCAs, so no noises for me yet. But 40 VCAs! I think I have enough... The photos of the wiring a...

Re: Building up components inventory - how to do DIY without always buying full kits???
I buy for one project at a time, for me “one project” is typically about 10-15 modules. And then I usually buy 10x of what I actually need so o have most of what I need for the next one.

Re: Stocktaking Spreadsheet
Hahaha I just buy most parts in large quantities whenever I order stuff and don’t keep track of anything. Typically resistors and caps in quantities of 100, IC’s in quantities of 10-50 depending on the price... I typically end up having most parts in stock... there’s too much to even try to keep tra...

Re: Something New from Doc Sketchy
Wow! That is quite a process! You obviously have this process nailed now. Sounds quite daunting for an absolute newcomer. And sounds expensive, until you see what companies are charging for custom panels. I make my own panels, and got the PP. (Price per MU) down to a few bucks. I buy blank aluminum...
