Thanks for the detailed and insightful responses! So it looks like this shirt circuiting of the PSU is a design flaw of the radio music module then?

Odd behavior - backwards power cable for radiomusic module

I did the bad thing last night! I was shifting around modules. Reconnected a radio music module backwards. Turned on the system, a doepfer 6u with a psu 1. The 1.2a version. The entire system did not power up. I quickly realized my mistake, corrected the module orientation, and everything powered up...

Ha. Missed a couple of 100k resistors like somebody else up-thread. I must have ordered a BOM that was missing 100k resistors.

Anyway. All good now. Spent the last hour just putting a single kick drum through this thing It positively sings. :omg:

Hi gang, Couple of questions about this build: 1. Is the feedback circuit completely built into the design? My feedback section seems to do nothing at all, and overall, I cannot get this this unit to howl. Perhaps I misunderstand the feedback section - is it fully internally patched? or does it exp...

confirm that this module can be calibrated for musically in tune I'm not using ASRs these days but when I did use old saggy ones putting a quantizer after the ASR took care of it. Tune the oscillators after patching the ASR and quantizer. In order to tolerate the most droop, tune to just below a qu...

hi, just wondering if anyone has successfully calibrated a CGS734 to be able to do musically "in tune" canon style melodies? The documentation on this module recommends a voltmeter with 4 decimal points. I have that reads to 3 decimal points. I want to confirm that this module can be calibrated for ...

FWIW, i wanted something similar a while back for a blog: http://manual-synthesis.info/2017/02/13/buscephalus/ I wanted to create generalized diagrams, and i ended up using simple flowcharts with mermaidjs https://mermaidjs.github.io/ . Less detailed that patchbook, but maybe just enough detail to m...

kind of late to the party with this one, but i am totally blown with radio music. i think it is the quintessential modular synthesis module of our time - if we had to fire a single module into space on a voyager probe to describe modular synthesis in the 21st century, i think it would be this module...

This started out more as a sound design system but now i want to change/combine directions and play live with it and mostly only with it (no other synths, drumachines etc involved, perhaps an external reverb). I need this to be 12u/104hp or less. This is my limit :) So with that in mind and the liv...

i'm waiting on mine to arrive, and am currently drilling a little passive mult box into a hammond aluminium enclosure with space for a number of all flesh jacks.

figured it would make a nice little breakout box to sit in front of the modular to tap out rhythms and combine gate streams, etc.

I hear there is some work being done on an arp mode? Just a thought, but wouldn't that be a great implementation of the long button press - to switch between normal and arp modes?
That would indeed be great.

http://retiary.org/ls/writings/sonic_subsets.html i suspect there is a some really neat things that could be done with the chord organ firmware to enable "smart" musical navigation between chords. for example, if we stored the individual chords themselves as entries in an array, and you had multipl...
