Re: [AVAILABLE] Blacet Rak-3 Powered Case

Just received the RAK-3 today, pretty straightforward to assemble. I guess I need to start building some Frac modules now. :guinness:

Just received an unexpected package in the mail today! Came today home and found this, looks like I will be building a Frac/Blacet system in the near future! :sb:

Re: Broken leg on IC Socket

I think it could also be jumpered to C10 which is closer but confirm with a multimeter first.

Re: Broken leg on IC Socket

It wont look as nice but you could bend the leg up on that IC so its out of the socket and solder a wire to it and jumper it to right side of R32 Inked20200628_170630_LI.jpg Hmm that would be ugly as sin, but it could save me having to detach the socket from the board. So if I used insulated wire a...

Re: 3.5mm TRS to DinSync wiring?

Pin 1 is Strat/Stop , Pin 2 is ground, Pin 3 is clock. I don't think there is any standard for dinsync on TRS so you could try pin 1 and 3 on tip/ring and pin 2 to sleeve and switch 1 and 3 if it doesn't work. You can break it out to two TS cables and and run pin 1 to the tip of one and pin 3 to the...

Is there a shorter spring (less than 12”) that people have been happy using? Or is the Accutronics 9EB2C1B (17”) all you should really use?

EDIT: Accutronics 8EB2C1B (10") recommended by Music Thing Modular
Also works with the AMC2BF3

Re: Steda Electronics SR-909 ready for pre-orders

IMHO it is very useful to see a BOM. Personally I look at the BOM first before deciding to order a project or not. Not only to see what parts are needed (and compare with current stock at home for instance), but mostly to have an idea of the costs. Check out the 909 service manual, it has the BOM. ...

Re: 3 Fried Modules - Seeking Repairs

I have repaired several doepfer modules and the damage was usually contained to 1 or 2 parts, usually visually damaged. The LM386 on the A-199 needs to be replaced. The wasp probably needs the CD4069 replaced, those seem to go even when they are powered correctly.

The alesis is 16 bit and simmons, linn, drumtraks, oberheim are 8 bit they are not compatible. With the oberhiem prommer you could make eproms for most of the 8 bit machines.

Re: 5u DIY Moog / Moslab like ?

Most use the same size components as eurorack for through hole. The only thing bigger is the panels and the knobs and there is much more off board wiring. I am building a DIY 5U system and I am finding that there are less options for 5U than eurorack.

Re: RE-303 Opinions wanted (now that it has been in the "wild" for a bit.)

I built my RE-303 with the Ruggedized Pots, there is still a little wobble but not as much as my 606. The wobble now is less from the shafts but the whole pot moving. I will probably add the pot guide from kumptronics at some point. The knobs are small on real 303/606 the RE-303 knobs are pretty muc...
