Re: RE-303 Opinions wanted (now that it has been in the "wild" for a bit.)

I built my RE-303 with the Ruggedized Pots, there is still a little wobble but not as much as my 606. The wobble now is less from the shafts but the whole pot moving. I will probably add the pot guide from kumptronics at some point. The knobs are small on real 303/606 the RE-303 knobs are pretty muc...

The DAC doesn't look like all the pins are soldered very well, especially the the bottom row.

The solder on the jack and pots and capacitors looks like it could be reflowed, add some flux if you have it

Re: What PCB fabs are up and running

I ordered from pcbway about a week ago and they have shipped already. At the time I ordered they said only green colored pcbs were available due to a partial shut down but I got an email a few days later that they were back to normal besides catching up on a backlog of orders.

Re: Veroboard pedal "modular" power supply!

i know some pedals can take greater than 9v...but does that apply for all? No, you could use a busboard like in the picture and hook up a 9V power supply to the those green terminal blocks then you could power a bunch of 9v pedal circuits. It wouldnt work to power regular euro rack modules on the s...

Re: Veroboard pedal "modular" power supply!

you could use a eurorack bus board and put 9v through it, just make sure you dont plug any real eurorack modules into it. You could also use one of those 9v daisy chain cables they use for pedals or just wires to some bus bars?

Re: How to connect two minijack MIDI devices?

If they are both the same type you could just use a TRS cable. If one is A and one is B you would have to buy or make a TRS A to B Cable or use 2 adapters and a regular midi cable.

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.

Roland has taken steps in the last few decades to protect their IP where it could. While they never showed interest in rereleasing old gear, they did send C&D orders against numerous software companies who stepped on their toes visually speaking. But their were several 303 "clones" before the X0XBo...

Can you understand that I simply don't find your excuses for Moog's pricing and their unnecessary use of through-hole (let alone hand-soldering) credible?
There new products are all SMT the hand soldering is only on the reissue stuff.

They *do* have the goodwill of Mr. Friend -much played up during the K-ODY re-issues-, Yes, very played up, lol In an interview with David Friend it sounds like his involment wasn't much more than a conversation where he made a few suggestions. When they sent him a completed Odyssey he was surprise...

Korg re-issuing the ARP was also fine seeing how they own the rights to ARP and why Korg's 2600 clone is also fine.
Except that they dont actually own ARP

How much, roughly, do all the components in the BOM come to? Been wanting to build this, but curious how much I'd be looking at all-in.
The mouser BOM is like 175, I think there are are few things that are not in there + the kit , shipping etc.. its right around $500

Re: [ORDER] Euclidean Circles - LEDs with rhythm

I have a non working V2 here that someone gave me to look at , it does not power on at all and IC6 (74HCT14) was visibly burnt so I replaced it and still not getting anything when i power it on. The test points for 5V and 3V3 are getting the correct voltage and IC7 (MCU) gets very hot. I was going t...

There's a surprising lack of PR from Superlative. Was there any news at NAMM? There were some sightings at NAMM , Superlative didnt have a booth but Ben was there the SB-1. Ben was at dinner with us one night and brought the SB-1. I didn't get to hear it but it looks good and feels very well built....

On some of the joints (the ones that look like a ball) you could probably add a little flux and reflow them but it looks like it should work. Pressing the button on the teensy wont mess it up, I would check for shorts on the power header and plug it in! :eurosmoke:
