Re: Opinion? Does the adage “You can never have too many VCAs” apply in Buchla?
Would 24 VCAs in one single module be overkill or in tune with the adage ?

Well, you can take it from the horses mouth and get all the info you want...find me on FB, Hangout or here.. But just a little detail if you like.. the hOC is by far the most versatile module there is..kind alike a DIsting. Not only does it run the original 10 apps , the hemisphere suite transforms ...

Re: More bits of wood
I had a 4 row one from SAModular and it worked very well. In fact the design allows you to combine either the upper 2 row solution with the 45 degree one and one single on the bottom or the other way round, with the 2 boats on the table , then the 45 and only one row on top. The tradeoff is stabilit...

Re: Northern Light Modular - Dual CV Polymorpher Model 2OC
As of now i can not guarantee that the cardOC V2.1 (blue bus header) works 100% with the 208c. Early reports indicate that the pitch input is missing from the card bus slot, probably due to the change necessary to get spilt pitch inputs for the two oscillators and midi. When i get my hands on one i ...

Re: CardOC
Yes...some.. So the opamps structure in the new gen OCs is totally different from the classic Eurorack one. For those this statement is true, and the main reason why we re-desiged it. The Euro has a range of -3 to +6. , the Buchla ones are 0-11 .. so an offset and a scaling It was also necessary for...

I love it ...the stacking system built into the cables is amazing.. Wait ..what ? the voltage drops based on the amounts of connection points ? i hate it... Its soooo purdy :) I love it... Re: 4U- Have You Had to Replace Any Panel Pots, Jacks, Switches and LEDs?
They still feel like shit .... ..and they are flimsy... What good is this lifetime if they are unusable in a live act where one touched a pot and it changes tone ? The 227e is exceptionally bad...people come and say , hey, i paid 2000$ for this, and it feels like a casio from a garage sale. And i ag...

Re: 4U- Have You Had to Replace Any Panel Pots, Jacks, Switches and LEDs?
People have asked me to replace numerous "wobble"pots on Buchla e modules. And i have to to say the way they are constructed is absolute genius. The fact that the front panel , all the bananas, tinis etc are on a dedicated cable loom is priceless. Desoldering pots is not super trivial but with the r...

Re: Why is everyone in love with the Strymon BigSky?
Well, depends entirely on your setup i think. I for myself was looking for a better reverb for my Music Easel. The built in spring has a characteristic but dull sound. The BigSky is doing exactly that , being big and airy ...fresh and vast. And i can pack it tightly in a backpack together with the r...

Re: Why is everyone in love with the Strymon BigSky?
Because it sounds like a 1000$ reverb, has Midi control and can be modulated without crystallising
And there is a dedicated eurorack controller for it.

Yeah, so first make sure you are using 1.8.5 If you are on an earlier one there is a chance for a glitch. If you are, get into the menu, set the first knob to GE and press Active Press UP for selecting the right Generic 1-4 Then Press Down repeatedly for the different settings. If its all done, pres...

Re: EvenMidi 3U – Model euEM
The range on the input is -5 to +5V bipolar. The offset and the scaler work against each other. So if you want to start at 0V and have your Modular adding to it you dial the scaler fully clockwise. It will then animate it from 0-100% or from Midi CC 1 to 128 and back down. If you set the offset to f...

The best option really is to get a thin metal case or to bring it to the gate and have em put in into the cargo bay as a last check in item. I totally agree on the flimsiness of the thing.. Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C
Hi all...
I was wondering is there some technical information available that gives us an insight into the card bus on the new 208C compared to the classic layout ?
It seems some pins are not populated the same way as on the BEMI one for example
