Re: Flying w/ Buchla 201e-12?

The best option really is to get a thin metal case or to bring it to the gate and have em put in into the cargo bay as a last check in item. I totally agree on the flimsiness of the thing.. I had to bolt mine down with extra screws to keep i from wobbling to bits. The only one i like traveling with ...

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C

Hi all...

I was wondering is there some technical information available that gives us an insight into the card bus on the new 208C compared to the classic layout ?
It seems some pins are not populated the same way as on the BEMI one for example

Re: CardOC

Hey Nick, As it looks now, BUSA changed the pin layout for the card bus, or better added circuitry that disconnects the direct input the iProgram card used . I don't have a 208C for further analysis at my disposal but as of now the pitch control is only possible using the banana aut and not the dire...

Re: A "new" Buchla 265!

Well, we can either let it die hier and get rusty or try to make the design style immortal by breathing new life into it.
1to1 clones should of course not happen to prevent ttownesque episodes.
Or building pseudo vintage modules from scrap piles.

Re: A "new" Buchla 265!

He Fin, suggestion...to avoid the design police you could shuffle the layout a bit around. I'd suggest to group up the input bananas to the left, output to the right audio in bottom and audio out top. Like a 292ish Or bundle them all up like we do on the h series... Like that it is easier to operate...

Not at all..it's more "Rate my system/music" than anything else.
For hardcore in depth questions this here is perfect...
And for building too...
No need for FB if its not your go-to thing anyway.

Re: whats my easel?

You have to take the 218 out of the box to see what PCU card is inside. And what do you mean with 5,8V ? There should be a CIncon wall wart that provides 12V...did you mean ampere ? The thing is that is like 10 times more than the inner PSU provides.. When they say weak PSU it means you can not repl...

The two groups are neither official and co-exist in peace ... 70% of the content is posted in both groups , so it does not really matter. Just join both ;) And when it comes to building, what experienced builders like Steffen or Dave can offer is the guarantee of a working module. All the Roman kits...

Re: EvenMidi 3U – Model euEM

Hi guys I now own the V2 of this module and just can't get a bpm sync with the module in between. Without it perfectly syncs. Any suggestions? Thank you an best! Maybe i got it wrong the first time, but are you trying to run midi through it ? As in using the input and output like a chain extender ?...

Can this update also be applied to v1 modules?
Yes, it works for all versions and should be installed on all revisions...
Just make sure to get the one for Eurorack and not the Buchla version.
That one has more inputs which would be floating on the Euro then and might cause random midi to appear.

Moin, yes...the first is to make sure you are running 1.8.4 Files and updater are on the site https://northernlightmodular.com/product/evenmidi-3u-model-euem/ If you are running any other version the algorithm determining the clock is using in line code , from 1.8.4 on we are using interrupts The ot...

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C

Well, i can't say anything definite as i did not test it myself. I heard rumors that the 208c is hogging the pitch channel due to the midi card but that could also be an isolated problem with an older card. We will figure it out in the coming weeks i hope. And if that is indeed the case my first mod...

Re: Northern Light Modular - What we are working on

Yep, there will be a kit coming that allows for SMD or through hole mount. And of course a nice front panel and a pretty hard to get Sifam collet knob. You still have to provide the original pedal though, same as with the 2H9. I will make a demo video soon and work on the build guide.. In regards of...

Nope, there is no visual feedback at that ADC calibration , i already talked to the guys about it. There should be a flash or something, right now one can skip the adjustment wit the same button that sets it and it is impossible to say it worked or i did not...fully agree. The 22 steps (35 is a full...

Re: CardOC

We are on the same page then....i have the exact same phenomenon. Try to enter calibration again, in ADC offset see how far you can dial it for positive offset. I have like 22 to dial and that is enough for it to jump to the right semitone. I am also looking at the hardware right now and a change of...
