Re: The Elektron Model:Cycles Thread

The arrangement was done on the M:S then single tracked through a tube preamp. It's actually a remix of an existing own tune which was way to bad.

edit: Sorry posted in the wrong thread...

like a boner, i picked up a second hand MPC One and now need 1/8" TRS to split 1/8" TS... what do you guys use?
I'd solder.

Here you find plugs with wider shaft so that you can fit two cables in and place a heat shrink.

Re: What new booty did you buy?

I found the Ashly two days ago in the classifieds and picked it up today. Can't wait to try it out and look what these 250 are worth. Hopefully it will match with the Drawmer if bought earlier this month. And with this RME ADI above I bet you know what all this should be do in the end... h...

Re: 1010music Blackbox - Compact Sampling Studio

Please pardon me for not reading everything through also for not RTFM but there's just one little question: Can I DJ with this thing clocked to incoming MIDI? I still look after a solution to expand my live shows with playing songs / stems without a computer or CDJ. And since I got a live stream whe...

Nice bit of bit. From the Sound On Sound review: Pros *Competent mic preamp. *Versatile compressor with side-chain access. *Separate peak limiter. *Musical EQ section. *Balanced channel insert facility. *Digital output option. *The possibility of a digital input option in the future? Cons *None. Fo...

...jeeez gotta say it over and over that I just don't get it why TF Vermona gear is way underpriced on the secondary market. I saw the DRM MK2 yesterdays for 450.- and maybe I will get if there's nobody going to show interest.

What’s the difference between the mono lancet and the mono lancet 15?

It's not too expensive but AFAIK not really suitable for stereo use on mixes since the channels are not identical?

Re: How Many Outputs Do You Use?

Technically I would have 16 outs (this n2ws module) for the system that could go via a patch bay to the mixer with those hooked direct out post eq and fader to the ad convertors. 12 VCAs, 4 LPG and 4 outputs from the ER-301 while sounds from 4 modules in the rack sometimes do not require voltage con...

Re: Secret weapon processing (plugins/hardware)

Bought me a Drawmer DL 251 Spectral Compressor for and must say I'm very happy with it. It seems to be a very transparent compressor to me that really is freshing up the signal. I have uses a FMR RNC and JoeMeek MC2 but never was keen with what they do a sum/mix.

Are many using the lancet kick? Seems to be cheap at the moment... I use in 80% of my songs. I my opinion it doesn't do these sub boomy well and the pitch knob is somewhat special but dude the attack you can get on this is cutting through any mix. and it does very well other sound too. mostly wierd...

It doesn't cost $500 (I don't care about your arbitrary restrictions), but I'd take my Monomachine. I haven't spent any serious time with it since I bought it (4 years ago!) and this would be the perfect time to dig into it.
found mine for 600!

After quite a long time I patched up something I always wanted to: Modulate as much parameters as possible. So I did and share it with you. I don't think it is musically pleasing but you may figure out what happens. The patch is pretty complex to explain...everything is in sync and derived from the ...

Find a very good deal on a used Octatrack mk1/MPC Live. 2 months using only that and you'll be flying doing all sorts of crazy stuff, from sampling to creating your own oscillators and using the sampler as a synth. If there's any geography that offers used MPC Live's for around the stated budget pl...
