Re: THE SPACE CASE TE-2 - Eurorack / Standalone Echo + Tape Unit

So the power PCB should be ready for production by the end the year while the PCB for the transport operation seems a bit more complex. These are two out of six AFAIK. Yeah. Two of six. We've no idea how close the others are to being ready for production considering its taken 4 weeks to go from teh...

Re: What new booty did you buy?

I am planning to write and record an album over the winter & will mostly use this system for creating and manipulating samples. Though, it will also be used with another 3U rack I have setup for quad playback if live ever returns. yeah looks like a good live setup for backing tracks and stems...

Re: Phasers

I once stumbled over a 4 stage analogue phaser made by a boutique manufactorer near to the Vermona HQ in Sachsen, Germany...all handmade, a discrete piece of gear made to last forever. I forgot the name and where I saw this, maybe somebody here knows anything about that...

Hmmm.. looks cool indeed. Do you have an idea of the price? Do you have one yourself?
...nope I don't but AFAIK they are somewhere between 2-3k. Lot of well known electronic musicians (Mathew Jonson for example) use their larger desks btw.

Three percussion sounds and the voices left are nice for those keen on chords for their dubby bass lines....and the UI is stage proof.

Re: What new booty did you buy?

I stumbled across a NordDrum 1 for 300 $ and I'm hesitating...do you think it's a good price? they usually go for around aroun 110-120 over here in Sweden. ND2s they ain't I didn't go for it. I mean it's only mono and yes I think 100 would be fair. I'd pay 250 for an ND2 I figured out. THX anyways...

Re: Favorite Multitimbral VAs?

The cross modulation in a Jupe 8 between oscillators 1 and 2 is exponential frequency modulation. Post Chowning, the term FM synthesis is mostly associated with Yamaha's digital implementation of Frequency Modulation, but there is a vast hinterland of FM that has nothing to do with digital synths. ...

Re: Favorite Multitimbral VAs?

Nord 2 has a fantastic hidden mode btw! And Nord 3 has encoders not potentiometer - what I would prefer to avoid parameter jumps when tweaking. To make clear for those who are not aware what a VA synth is, which most are I guess: VA do always mimic subtractive synthesis and could be looked at as a ...

Re: Euro-Serge System

Very cool. I'm interested in your choice of modules, mind sharing? I'm new to the Serge way of doing things, but very interested. The lack of dedicated oscillators seems to be a feature, relying instead on the DSG or SSG for audio rates. I still don't believe the generators track as well as the ded...

It’s a very interesting device that sometimes does very beautiful things [...] with Microcosm you have to get feel for what I will (hopefully) respond to [...] It’s like learning an instrument, which is never a bad thing. Re: Euro-Serge System

https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/612254 I've put together a row I'd like to put into my system a while ago. Next time I'm going to spent cash on a synth it's going to be this. The idea was to put everything in to generate sounds in Serge fashion. Maybe I'll add a Serge filter, EQ and VCA in...
