Re: Question for MPC X/One owners

The One really has 8 CV/gate outputs? And yet still just one stereo output for audio? What an incredibly bizarre machine! What does the workflow look like? I can’t figure out how you would use it sensibly. It is pretty different from the Cirklon but I like it so far. I have it with me on vacation f...

Re: Question for MPC X/One owners

I picked up an MPC One, and so far am really enjoying it. However, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to save samples so that I can access them in another project. Suppose I'm in Project 1. I sample something, edit it, rename it. It's there in Project 1. Great. But I'd like to save the sample ...

Re: THE SPACE CASE TE-2 - Eurorack / Standalone Echo + Tape Unit

I'm sorry but @Estes is trolling this thread, if this morning no one was thinking about a refund, but he leaves a comment here which provokes a negative reaction for no other reason that to make him feel better about his amazing foresight into this product, then that is trolling. His aim was to try...

Re: THE SPACE CASE TE-2 - Eurorack / Standalone Echo + Tape Unit

Everything is slowed because of Covid, including shipping. If some portion of the Space Case production is delayed it makes perfect sense to start selling extra cases in the meantime. It's not really fair to blame COVID for this. 2.5yrs ago he was taking people's money for this, framing it up like ...

PayPal buyers won’t be an option as a case has to be made 180 days after payment if I remember correctly.

Re: THE SPACE CASE TE-2 - Eurorack / Standalone Echo + Tape Unit

Why would it slow down the whole process if the blocker is the PCB? I don't quite follow that logic. It can mean two things: - he is twirling his thumbs because there's nothing else to do - he is deploying resources for the development of new products because he ran out of money Maybe you read betw...

Re: THE SPACE CASE TE-2 - Eurorack / Standalone Echo + Tape Unit

For me it's clear that he will sell those enclosures ASAP and maybe before the Space Case is shipping. Well, yeah thats what he said, theres no denying that. What he's saying is that the order for the cases is in excess of the pre-order numbers for the TE2 and that any extras that are not allocated...

In the buyer's update, Jim covered the concern for first wave buyers... Enclosures will not sell out from under. I'm hoping its a keeper to be honest, when it eventually arrives, doubt i'll be selling mine from what I've heard and the featureset that comes with the TE2 i just know shes gonna be a fit. You know, when you just know xD If everything will be like announced (or even if it's going to be only 90% of...

Re: Machinedrum vs TR8S

Also, the way the MD colors the sample is my absolute favorite. did you tried it in stereo? I mean, it´s kinda a hassle to do it, but try splitting a stereo sample in 2 mono (choose one with a wide stereo), load them in 2 sample slots of the MD and assign them to 2 tracks, panned hard L/R...man, it...

Re: Higher end/vintage small mixers

I picked up a APB Dynasonics ProDesk 24-4 that mentioned a few pages back that was barely used. What a fantastic desk and more compact than I was expecting (about 30" x 24" or 75 cm by 60 cm). Nominally a 'live' board, it is really well laid out and many of the features just beg for active, hands-o...

Re: Ieaskul F. Mobenthey in 2020

I do have a question: Are Mocante and Grassi also practicable as a controllers for other modules? Mocante is not that useful as a controller. But Mr. Grassi is! Each of Mr. Grassi's outputs puts out a tone when touched, but when released it holds at a random DC voltage, like a sample and hold. So y...

my cirklon was built around 5 years ago. i found it to be very cryptic and convoluted yet a gorgeous hardware. most of its users tend to be hopeless snobs or hobbyists suffering from ocd, with hardly a one actually needing such an unnecessarily complicated status symbol of uber-nerdery GAS. after t...

It's Detroit style and you I'm always amazed by how fast you're there with DX7, 11 or 21. One a friend played the 21 and it sounded almost like this bassline...I was surprised that such acid like sound came out of the machine.

...on the newer Elektron boxes you're not limited to 64 steps. There's a function where you can say how after how many bars a step has the be triggered and like this you could work with a one bar loop and create endless or at least more variations that you will ever want.
