Can you please describe what the output of a neutrally calibrated / untransposed output should be with no voltage at the input?
Around 40mV.
It relates to the input whose lowest usable voltage is a bit above zero.

Re: Eurorack why is noone using the 5V of the psu?

MI provided a solution to this by deriving +5V from the -12V rail with the Volts module. There is often less draw on the -12V rail thus spare capacity to to provide this additional rail. The MI Volts derives its 5V from the positive 12V rail, not the negative one. It is based on a ready-made conver...

Re: Klavis - CalTrans

I seem to have a bit of a tuning issue when using CalTrans. The oscillators calibrate fine, including Plaits, but when I play C1 of my keyboard it is playing a -40 cents flattened C# through CalTrans. If I then plug the CV directly into the oscillator it plays a C. With Plaits I can access C0. Afte...

Re: Klavis - CalTrans

Just wondering.. can the CalTrans be used just as a 4 channel quantizer? Can I send an LFO into the input and get quantised voltage at the output? Yes. You can use any number of channels in Neutral calibration in order to only use their musical features (quantizer, transposition, portamento and gli...

This way, each preset can handle a different voltage source if needed '[/i] This relates to the Caltrans inputs calibration. In case you want to use the CT with various (CV melodic) sources that require a different V/Oct calibration. This is the case when the V/Oct setting cannot be adjusted on the...

The operation to clear one or more presets is described on page 14 of the User Manual V1.4.

Re: Envelopes vs. matrices - what would YOU do with your last 20HP?

Then again: the Klavis Quadigy has been on my radar for a while and I'm wondering if I'd benefit more from a dedicated envelope module. The thought of another complex module to learn does put me off a little, though. Thank you for considering the Quadigy. Please look at Basic envelope settings in g...

... The flexshaper looks a lot more finely adjustable, though, and CV control of the segments is brilliant - I could use, say, the velocity signal to modulate the response curve of, say, the Y-axis signal. Perfect. And it has a bunch of other fun uses as well. I'm sold. You could check the followin...

A response curve function (a kind of waveshaper for modulators if you wish). Especially a LIN>LOG converter ! (LOG is the opposite of EXP) The Klavis Flexshaper can do exactly that, plus the shape settings are all CV controlled. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/proxy/3j3X3ljY8yJf2aElaQoVSxRufCH8rE...

I may be able to write a script that scrapes manufacturer sites daily and grabs firmware data. Might be a mess though with the extensive use of javascript these days.
It's a nice idea.

3 x Klavis Mixwitch, one of the loveliest modules that I’ve ever used; I love it for hocketing among many other uses.
Could you explain what hocketing is and how do you set it up?
I could extend the applications list in the manual :-)
Thank you

Re: Klavis - Quadigy - Quad Envelope Generator

It’s hardware, and the issue only just came to light. Have your dealer check before sending you the module? The issue was only with the first batch and only with some supply/cases and modules contexts. This could not be checked before reaching the user (which explains why it escaped us initially). ...

A little more feedback after further testing - for some reason I'm unable to calibrate my Piston Honda, I just get an instant red light, even when set to sine wave. Re: Klavis - Quadigy - Quad Envelope Generator

Anyway, I just have a basic question that I’ve not been able to deduce from reading the manual: Is there a way to trigger all 4 envelopes by just using one gate input? I’m assuming there is a way to do this especially since there are little arrows printed on the panel between each of the gate input...

Re: Why does 5V always comes from the 12V rail?

Hi, Excuse perhaps a stupid question...but since most modules utilize significantly more +12V rail than the -12V one...a logical question arises as to why the 5V power always seems to come from the +12V rail and not the -12V rail? It seems like it should be possible to do some clever diversion/inve...

Re: How to keep total time for 2 envelopes the same

This is done by a dedicated parameter called Global Time, that applies a ratio defined in percentage to all and every time-related stages The control of an envelope's A, D and R rates is usually exponential over a range from 1ms to 10s so a ratio change does not solve the OP's request. If you, say,...

Re: How to keep total time for 2 envelopes the same

Is it possible to accomplish this with standard envelope modules or is there a module that does this? In a nutshell: you are asking for a linear relationship over several interactive non-linear ones and that's not going to happen. Although A,D, and R settings are thought of as times they are really...
