Re: Buchla Small Shaft Potentiometer

I was looking at the PTV09A-6... from Bourns: https://www.bourns.com/docs/product-datasheets/PTV09.pdf Has a threaded bushing and there might be enough height to get it to sit correctly. that threaded bushing is M9, I believe that is a 9mm hole? I think I have those parts somewhere here that I orde...

In this photo i used no nut but you can affix them if you desire. I find these pots are far firmer even without the nut.

Sad to hear about the keyboard project ending but hope we can all get down and dirty with your CRAP soon! The keyboard project will rise after the CRAP ... I have some parts in for evaluation that would allow true physical pressure aftertouch, NOT "surface area" after touch as seen in most capaciti...

Oh shit, was that your CRAP? That looked really cool. The powers that be trying to put an end to DIY Serge? That’s a bummer, I was really looking forward to your sequencer being available. I liked that didn’t consume an entire panel so that other sequencing/gate related utility modules could be add...

if R*S don't do DIY I doubt it will happen.

Serge asked me to pull my own synapse-article based sequencer because it looked so similar to the R*S one with the touchpads.

can I just say that those joysticks are the swankiest thing on 2 axis I've ever seen.

I can find the TBM JAPAN 60 degree travel ones but those 90 degree ones are nowhere! Have you got oodles of old stock or will they make them on request?

I’ve had to replace pots, switches, and LEDs. No bananas yet. I swapped out ALL my cheap pots on one pan el which was hell and then threw out the rest of the cheap crap.... I don’t try to save money on pots anymore. Never had another one go bad. Same with switches. Had to change cheap stuff. I think...

We are using a PC mount jack that has been manually tested to accept Tinijax. We check each one of them BY HAND. The jacks are a little tight but they will fit. This situation is forced on us, because Switchcraft STILL does not make a PCB-mount version. Try it again. you can PCB board mount the enc...

Do you know what’s up with the PCB having both C5, C6, C9 and CB5, CB6, CB9? The BOM doesn’t differentiate these positions and it specifies only 3 caps rather than 6. Interestingly, the picture in the euro build doc has all 6 installed, but with a mix of film and ceramic. The CB caps are all bypass...

Re: R*S Variable Slope capacitors

C5, C6 and C9 all should be installed.

C5 and C6 are phase compensation caps for the integrators as used on most serge filters and likely less critical. C9 I'm not sure about but I tend to think that with the faster opamps driving things there that stability cap might be critical.

I've got a question about the FM behavior on the Serge PCOs. If anyone out there has experience or knowledge on the subject, I'd be most apprec...

So my advice is that if the KR have a similar trigger circuit make the mod before it in order to hit the sounds with the proper triggers instead of external ones. I hope this makes sense it does make sense, and it is the reason I am building a mod to derive the proper triggers from normal modular s...

Im working on a mod to add full trig inputs

You can find the info for a trigger in pretty easily on google however it is falling edge triggered I think so some additional circuitry is required to totally sync it.
