If you can desolder - then desolder the pots and replace them T18 shaft. You can get Make Noise knobs in T18 shaft.

Only other non complicated option will be another style of knob.

Hi - no I left these unconnected - only connection between the two pcbs is from the master pad on the left pcb to the slave pad on the right (left & right when looking from behind)

Both sides goes through led start up sequence correctly when switched on, i've swapped...

Sounds like your are thinking about it backwards With the threshhold pot fully CW then the input sound is unaltered, as you move it counter-clockwise the shaper starts to bite into the signal, this starts to happen when the LED comes on, as you move the threshold further left it affects more of the ...

TL431 is a different part - it would seem that mouser have sent you the wrong transistor.

This is probably why the module isn't working properly

Ah ok, i don't have much experience with lead free solder yet, but yeah i think it does need to be soldered slightly hotter.

Hope it goes well for ya, feel free to come back for any help if you have any trouble or queries :tu:

different people prefer to solder hotter or less hot - i have my iron set at 390F, which i think is on the hotter side - try something around there and see how it works for you. you only need to solder one side of the board - solder will flow through the hole. I wouldn't obsess about getting a perfe...

I think this is because if you solder it before the panel components your iron would be blocked from soldering the jack next to it

It's quite a tricky panel to line up to all the pots and jacks - remember to make sure you can screw nuts onto all your pots before soldering them - took me a few tries to line everything up!

Your board is not faulty - Touellskouarn have just decided not to put solder pads for those holes - The two 'kinked' side legs are usually soldered only for mechanical stability, i.e. they do not affect the circuit in any way.
