Re: Update from Mutable Instruments on a DivKid youtube comment? 3 more releases?

I also thought Stages was genius, and the most “mutable” of the Mutable Instruments. But I still sold it within 2 months- turns out I never needed to make fancy multistage envelopes, and that was one of the only functions that I couldn’t do easier and better with other modules. I wouldn’t at all min...

Re: Stackable Cables by TipTop: Bad?!

They got a bad rep a few years ago, there were lots of people reporting problems. I have a few old ones and a few new ones, in several different colors, all of mine are fine.

Re: FIVE12 Eurorack Vector Sequencer

I like the idea of repurposing one of the CC tracks- very clever. No idea if it’s possible or if there would be any other implications from doing that, but it seems like it could just be a switch in the Global settings

It does save settings, but can you access that info directly from a saved file? I think that was the question.

Re: Squarp Rample

As far as I can tell, there are no human readable settings on the card. There are the wavs themselves, a rtf file for each factory bank that is just ASCII art of the name of who created it, and a couple of miscellaneous things with no file suffix that are either settings or something Mac related (I’...

Re: Eurorack Delay - Rainmaker vs Magento

I owned RM twice, but no longer. Have owned Magneto since it was released and still do. Though in some ways I don’t think it’s really that valid to compare them, one of the most important differences to me is that I can tweak Magneto so easily live, just turning on and off each head and adjusting th...

WMD actually sells slider caps, so I assume they are removable.

Diode Chaos is great, I like it better than Sloth because the speed control, and it’s so compact and inexpensive. (Only the X and Trigger outs can get up to Audio rates)

Re: Korg Wavestate

Not sure what you are wanting to see when viewing “any of the sequence lanes in their entirety”- you can see the overview of all of them showing each one’s start and stop steps, which step it’s currently on, etc. But if you mean show the whole sequence with the values for each step, yeah, you’d need...

Of course it’s a real word- “Mint condition” comes from coin collecting, as in, appears as if just left the mint.

But it’s misapplied all the time...

Re: First experience on USED market went as feared... Yours?

Just to restore your faith in humanity, I’ve purchased easily over 50 used modules, with literally zero actual problems.

The worst experiences I’ve had are a few modules that reek of cologne or air freshener, but that goes away in a couple of days.

Re: Why buy used at recent market prices?

I don’t see it here as much as FB, but it seems to be more and more common for people to try and sell currently available modules for 90% of the new price. I try not to be that guy and crap all over people’s posts, but it’s hard when, like this morning, I see someone selling a 6 month old QPAS for a...

Re: Sound source wisdom - or how you can predict your sound journey

I haven’t “ended up” with anything, my system is always gradually changing, as do the types of sounds I enjoy making. After 5-6 years, which included a long stretch where my main sound sources were 2 Rings and an Elements clone, I’m all of a sudden really into Noise Engineering oscillators, to my ow...

Yes. Unless the level is zero, it’s still going through that tap once, just not being fed back.
