Teaching modular synthesis to sound design students

Hi all, I am working on a modular synth unit for my sound design students. Normally, I lug my rig into the lab, do some demos and then let them take turns using it, recording, etc. They obviously get a huge kick out of it because its rare any of them have ever seen a modular, let alone patch one. No...

Great news! Hopefully John chimes in here on the status of the 1U sequencer.

Thanks all.

Grove audio

Hi, Does anyone have a good email for Grove Audio? I never hear back using the web form. I dont fancy calling the number on the website - would like to exhaust email communication first. I am looking to order a GMS-775 (1U Seq) but do not want to pre-order without an indication of when it will ship....

use an 1/8" or 1/4" to BNC adapter on a BNC cable
Do you have a link? I am not seeing these anywhere.

Modular to Oscilloscope Cable

What do you all use? I found this: http://www.addacsystem.com/en/products/addac-accessories/addac0017 But no other options. Is this the best/only thing on the market? Did you DIY? I inherited a rather nice tube/vintage Tektronix scope and I want to see some sweet wave forms. Show and tell on how you...

Love the ++ line so much.

The only one I have heard any minor complaints about is the env++. I have the lfo++ and s&h++ and recommend them both. I have only 22U so any time I can cram functionality into a single space I am happy.

Rampage bananas

Hi! Is the Befaco Rampage still available w/ bananas? There used to be a dropdown on the order page to select to 3.5mm or banana but it looks like that is no longer the case...? I have a small (and empty) euro case and power supply, but my set-up is mostly banana format. Yes I am aware of format jum...

yeah maybe repaneling the Q148 is a bit much for just a headphone output.

I am looking at u/bananaplug's suggesstion of the paia kit. I have a blank panel I can build it with and maybe use the extra space for a passive format converter....

... My only gripe with stroh this kit is the 2U :( I do love this final stage module for my MU https://synthesizers.com/q148.html - would love a bug compatible single space version :) It might be worth checking how big the pcb actually is on that synthesizers.com module. Although I haven't seen thi...

Can I move this to General Gear? You'd get more replies there (thereby more input) and it really isn't Bugbrand specific. Thanks Kent! It is bugrand specific, as I am interested solutions specific to my bug system, and I wanted to hear from bug users (and designers ;) I do get your point about more...

Do you diy? If so the stroh stereo out can drive headphones. Synthcube make a frac panel for it that will fit banana jacks. (If you do build one be careful with the power header in a bug case as it's right down the middle. I'd recommend using a 5 pin mta100 header in the euro footprint) I do DIY & ...

headphones?

hey y'all - quick question on portability. I like to grab my bug and sit on the bed to patch but I always need to drag a mixer with me so I can use headphones. Here's my set-up: https://www.modulargrid.net/f/racks/view/333546 Using the output mixer, I can only get sound in one headphone. Is there a ...

I am happy roger has accepted the "single function per module" philosophy is dated. He is keeping his line relevant by updating his perspective. Kudos to roger!
