Re: Bipolar to unipolar conversion

Agreed. So, are you trying to look for a module that does 8 channels of amplitude modulation or ring modulation in 4-6hp? For amplitude modulation there is the 2hp VCA with 2 channels per module and for ring modulation there is Circuit Abbey twiggy with 2 channels per module, unfortunately I believe...

I love amplitude modulation.
I believe amplitude modulation should work with -5V to +5V signals into the cv input of a VCA? It will just not modulate the signal when it is negative?

Re: Bipolar to unipolar conversion

(addendum to my post above) ... quoting Doepfer on the Matrix Mixer ... "module a-138m is a 4 x 4 matrix mixer with switches for unipolar/bipolar mode for each column. unipolar means that the controls work as attenuators. bipolar means that the controls work as polarizers. in this mode the amplific...

Re: Erica Black Spring Reverb

I'm looking at pruchasing an external reverb tank for this module from the below website, which one would suit this module? I assume the parameters to consider are the input and ouput impdeneces and the decay time?

Re: Malekko Varigate 8+

I haven't used my V8+ for quite sometime ... today, I tried linking a Gate 8 track to a CV2 track and it's not really working. I believe I had it working previously. I'm on v2 firmware. Can someone confirm whether this is working on this version of the firmware? I followed the instructions to select...

Re: Synthcube

Yes, my bad. It's the uO_C panel on the other side, I couldn't see it as there was a label covering it. Anyway, I've contacted them and they have agreed to send out the missing parts.

Re: Noise Engineering: Manis Iteritas - Save the pangolins!

Yes I did. They just said that's how the modules are designed and to use an attennuator on the outputs if it is too loud.

Re: Synthcube

I received my order today, one kit was missing a couple of parts and I purchased a uO_C panel but was sent a uTemps panel

What are my chances of getting this rectified?

Re: Best analog complex oscillator and filter?

I find it a lot more creative patches by building my own complex oscillator using single function modules, i.e. 2 x Oscs, Wavefolder, VCAs etc .... This way you get to customise the sound by selecting which modules to put in the system and able swap to out components and change things around a littl...

This one sounds quite "clean" compared to other wavefolders, i.e. not as noisey.

There is nothing in that budget, even second hand would be difficult.
What would be the required budget to comply to theese specs? Are you able to provide some example models?

Re: Digital Multimeter

Budget is around $200 - $250 USD

The Ornament & Crime manual specifies the below, what does 40000 counts and 4 3/4 digits mean?

To adjust the DAC code, you’ll need a good multimeter; ideally, 40000 counts or better and with decent accuracy (often described as 4 3/4 digits or better).

Digital Multimeter

Hi DIY pundits,

Any recommendations for a digital multimeter for calibrating modules etc. that doesn't cost and arm and a leg?

Many thanks,
