Re: 19" rack units to complement a Eurorack system

i am thinking sherman filterbank or a big enough audio interface so you wont need a patchbay? (i went a orion32+ to have the patching digital and do not need anything analog for routing/mixing, no analog = no channel crosstalk = clean multitracking) maybe a sweet little EQP-KT? those are just too ch...

I'd like to use the LFO OUT (to send to an external module) AND bypass/disconnect the LFO's impact on the Neutron's VCF and ATT 2.
if you plug something into ATT 2 IN it disconnects the internal normalisation.

a used rme fireface uc is imho the best bang for the buck.
if you need even more channels expand that beauty with the new arturia audioFuse 8pre and you have 16in/18out

Re: Rich, expansive sounding synth

if you want detuned and drifting, you need old, new synths are made of parts that are too good.
or you learn how to program patches because you can make most modern synths drifting and detuned if you want,
its just more work than with old ones.

Re: BEST VCF at the moment ??

i may be biased because the belgrad and the polaris were my first ever 2 filters i got but i still think those two have the best balance between featureset, build quality and interface (=ease of use) if you look for a mono filter with a smallish footprint but big featureset. (of all the filters i kn...

Re: Eloquencer, µMIDI... Why I don't like unipolar V/Oct sources (0-10V)

can't just anyone mix his 0-10v/oct signal with an -5v offset to archieve this desired -5v to +5v pitch range?

everyone can do whatever he wants in modular, i thought thats why we all were here?

i would be totally interested in a screen-less smaller polygogo because more different timbres is never wrong.
but i dont wanna spend all those HP just for eyecandy at the moment, maybe later when my rack is bigger ;D

Re: How do you arrange your modules?

sound sources and efx at the corners, modulation and utility at the center, controller modules at the bottom, modules that i often use together side by side, isnt that how everybody does it? ;D

the blocks form themselves and voices emerge naturally.

Re: How many "voices" do you have in your modular?

my modular has a lot more voices than i usually patch at once. its nice to have options but once a patch goes above lets say 4 voices i slowly start to lose control over the cable-spaghetti and it starts to make less and less fun to tweak all the relevant parameters live because i tend to forget wha...

3xMIA is my favorite for mixing and offset, triatt/triplatt is my favorite if i want to be able to turn anything to ZERO fast and easy.
samara lives besides a batumi and i see it basically as a really nice expander, those two are meant to be together imho ;D

Re: Your go to final VCA?

One thing I don't quite understand is unipolar vs bipolar VCAs... People say you should have at least one bipolar VCA i think the right word for it is "polarizer" so you can for instance make an 0-5v lfo/envelope go from -3 to 0v. the new doepfer A-133-2 can do this and even has a VCA for the modul...

my final one is the SSF Muton because i do not need to be careful about levels, i can go into an analog mixer that has enough headroom but the mute knobs are handy sometimes ;)

When MIDI 1.0 came out it was proven, after years of hard work out of public view. Talking about incomplete, unproven specs in public is dangerous.
