TT only in fact! Pretty much every connection in the module is balanced for noise and interference rejection, so it does not make sense to use an inferior connection for interfacing with the outside world. I applaud your commitment to quality. Making the module TT only is an audacious (and possibly...

Exciting stuff. More manufacturers should infinitely scrutinize every quantum particle of their modules...
I hope it will be available with TT jacks.

Definitely biased towards EDM. There are some huge omissions. He included the Alpha Juno, but left out the Moog modular, ARP 2600, Oberheim SEM/Two/Four/Eight Voice, ARP/Solina String Ensemble... Lists like this drive me nuts.

And if it were just an opamp fried it wouldn't need a whole board now, would it? This is what sucks about SMT. Not many techs want to fiddle around trying to replace tiny SMT components. When a surface-mount component fails, the unit is usually sent back to the manufacturer and the faulty board is ...

phesago,

Mr. Peake definitely does know what he's talking about. His willingness to share his knowledge over the years has made the internet a better place for synth nerds like us.
It seems to me that what you call "kidding" and "playful sarcasm" I just call being kind of a dick.

Also remembered the original Eventide Harmonizers (H910 and H949) had the keyboard-control input, likely a simple CV control? If I remember correctly, the H910 (named after a Beatles song!) and H949 keyboard control input used some kind of multi-pin DIN connector, but I'm away from the studio at th...

I spoke to one of the Marienberg brothers (probably about a year ago) and was told that while their modules *are* 5U tall, they are actually slightly narrower than the standard Moog module. Maybe this has changed, (or maybe I'm remembering wrong, it was a while ago) but I think these guys are doing ...

FYI: All moogerfoogers are now SMT and have been for a while. On the upside, the PCBs are MUCH smaller than they used to be. On the downside, they're SMT. Yuck.

That is a lovely filter. Phil seems like a nice guy, and his modules are great fun. Plus the build quality of the MegaOhm stuff is really second to none. I have one of each of his offerings and they're probably the nicest modules in my system (although the stg/soundlabs stuff isn't too shabby either).

People don't seem to have very strong feelings on this, so in that case the cheaper option wins. I say go with the coarse tuning pot if for no other reason than to differentiate your design from the Synthesizers.com VCO as much as possible. Variety is the spice of life.
