Re:

I could swear I was sending LFOs from my Octatrack, but it's been a long time since I used the OT, so I'm not positive. Yep, you definately can send free running LFO's from the Octatrack via a chosen CC number routed thru the 225's J to P channels. Each Octoarack midi Chanel has 3 LFO's so you have...

Re: 225e Internal Bus Problems

Thanks so much!! It's all working perfectly now. I changed the internal bus for the 259e to "A" and the 261e to "C". Now that I have my midi configuration worked out with the Octatrack I'm up and running. Last question (for now)... Is it possible to overide the velocity information coming from the i...

Re: 225e Internal Bus Problems

Thanks!! I changed the dip switches and the 281e is now working as expected. It's still necessary to connect the 281e to the 292e though correct? The 292e wasn't getting the envelope without connecting. I changed the 261e dip switches to B but it's still receiving pitch information from Bus A. Even ...

225e Internal Bus Problems

I’ve spent today sussing out midi communication between my Octatrack and the 225e. I just want to know if it’s user error on my part (very probable) or something with the software that’s out of my control that’s going on here. 1. How to I change the internal bussing? Even when I change the midi chan...

251e vs 225e or 218e (midi implementation)

So I'm working on building my first skylab system and the last question I need to answer is 251e or 225e. I work on film scores which means I frequently get midi parts that I run through different synths. Because of this, midi implementation is essential. But the 251e looks rad and extremely useful ...

Clouds DIY & Parasites??

I have a red board Clouds module with no serial number on the back. Does anyone know if it's safe to install Parasites? Has anyone else done it successfully?

All it says on the back of the module is "board revision by Matt Gaines, 2018 cc-by-sa Olivier Gillet, 2015 v3"

Thanks in advance!

Skiff Travel Case

I've got a Makenoise skiff and I have some fly dates coming up. Is there a padded skiff case out there I can travel with?

I love the skiff but there seems to be no good way to transport/travel with it.

Thanks!!

Synthesized Accordion?

Anyone know how to do this?

I'm about to go on the road and I'm covering a lot of Mellotron accordion parts on keys. Obviously it won't sound the same but I thought this might give me a great reason to take my euro rig on the road.

Patch notes appreciated!!

VICTORY!!!!! For anyone having this problem with the Easel... In Midipipe go to Message Converter, double click, click on Note Off in the Out Section and you're golden.

FINALLY!

It's blowing my mind how difficult it is to turn note information off in Logic. I took Umcorps advice and got Midipipe but still can't figure out how to turn off the note information.

If anyone knows how to do this I'd appreciate the help.

Does anyone know how to turn off all note data through midi in Logic Pro X? I'm using a Unitor8 as my midi interface. The Easel is on Channel 2. I'm fairly certain thiagozt is right and Logic is sending both midi notes and clock to the easel.

Since I'm not hearing of other people having this problem, and the computer is sending midi information, I really am leaning towards this being a software thing.

Anymore idea's are very welcome.

What a drag!! Not having midi functionality is a big deal. Tried to find a workaround by using the CVGT1 to send pulses to the Arpeggiator in but that didn't work either. Trying to get some of those beautiful arpeggiations for a film score. This is driving me crazy.

That's exactly what I'm trying to get it to do. As of now the slowest speed I can get out of the arpeggiator is around 1/64. It's totally un-usable.

I can't figure it out for the life of me.

Buchla Easel - Midi Problems (Not Typical)

Hello all, So I'm well aware of the issues people have been having with the Easel not receiving midi information due to incorrect polarity. My problem is that the easel is receiving midi clock but it's at rapid speed. It's so fast you can't make out the notes. I have a feeling it isn't the hardware ...

Thanks for the input everyone! I just wish there was a linear power supply that was smaller than what's out there. I'm using Makenoise power in 2 cases right now and I'm having problems. Power Help - 12U Folding Case

Hello all, I'm going to be on the road for 2 months and don't want to leave the rig at home so I've decided to get a 12U folding case from Dark Modular. Kaitlyn, if you're willing I'd love to hear you elaborate on this. "This system has 4 voices - the dpo, phonogene, and teleharmonic. The way I have it patched I am getting 7 voices out of it and modulating some of the harmonics so at times it sounds like 10 voices." This patch is brilliant. Any info...
