Re: Panning and cross-fading

I think the a-134 only fries chips when you put in a negative rail without a positive one. Like when you turn on or off the case and the supplies go up or down at different rates. In other words, sometimes, every time you turn on or off the case. :bang: I have only ever used any of these for auto p...

How about 2 times 1U Quadratt for the 8 voltages.
It would require a 1U row though.

Metric screws. Available at Mc Master Carr in US A very nice, mostly mail order business in the US. Great online catalog, great catalog too (like 1,000 pages) Ships next day, usually. And they sell all kinds of special screws, by the hundred or singly. Hint, a hundred screws is usually pretty cheap....

Re: Eurorack RACKS (Information on the Racks)

I believe that Pittsburgh modular uses 4-40 screws. They are almost the size of M2.5s, well actually 2.8 mm. Foghorn If anyone cares, American number screw sizes can be calculated like this. number times 13, plus 60 is about the size in thousandths of an inch. or, 4 times 13 plus 60 = 112 or 0.112" ...

For a keyboard player?
I would say an Arturia Keystep.
It has a keyboard (albeit a crappy one), a sequencer and you play the keyboard to program the sequencer.
Plus it is 0 hp.

Re: Favorite cables? (aside from stackcables)

I have a bunch of cables that have a plastic molded housing about 2/3 of the way from one end, and there is a jack in the plastic housing.
It is at about a 30 degree angle to the cable.
Anyone know what they are called or who made them?

Re: Alternatives to NE Integra Funkitus?

The Integra Funkitus has been on my wish list for a while, you can do some really cool things with it controlling the rhythmic elements of your patch. I use the MI Branches in a similar way. It is much less capable than the IF, with only two inputs, but you can get similar results by adjusting the ...

Re: Alternatives to NE Integra Funkitus?

A module called Nano Rand V2 has a function similar to this. It is explained by the designers (Qu-Bit Electronix) as follows. . "On top of the fluctuating random voltage output, it is also capable of producing the most musical random gate output in the Eurorack format. When externally clocked, Nano ...

Re: What should I do with the last 4HP of this case?

A bunch of good criticism (or um, you know what I mean). Anyway, I think you would be better off starting with a bigger case. I mean 68 hp, I have never heard of a rack that size. They are usually 84 or 108 hp wide by 6U (like a mantis) or 7U like most of the intellijel cases. Not to plug a single m...

Re: What should I do with the last 4HP of this case?

Can you include a link to your modulargrid? Also, think about getting a rack with a row of 1U. You can put a bunch of important utilities in a 1U format. Like VCAs, random sources, multiples and mixer/output modules. I like the headphone out as it puts out the right voltage for headphones. Look at t...

Re: Noise problem with a new case

I will take a guess that there is a problem with the outlet(s) that your case is plugged into.
Like the earth floating or the hot and neutral are both hot (two times 1/2 voltage that is 180 out of phase).
Or not

Re: Have you ever regretted menus on everything?

They want to wiggle knobs with no regard to anything except how it sounds. I will admit that I am one of those people and I do have numerous modules that have men...

Clouds and 2hp trim.
Many modules could benefit from a dual passive attenuator but, Clouds absolutely requires that you have at least one.

I don't think anyone has mentioned the Pulplogic octaves yet.
I am pleased with it.
It is only available in Pulplogic compatable 1U format.
Of course it will not correctly fit into an Intellijel 1U row.

I have an (almost) all Mutable case and using Ears into Warps can do some unbelievable stuff to a microphone signal. Being a dinosaur I use Braids as a second input (well I use Plates(sic) too, damn newfangled crap). Anyway, if you have the urge to "vocode" then there are alternatives. This case.......
