Re: Sequentix Cirklon

Be as skeptical as you want. But I don't know why you are basing your views on this thread, the place to track things is the Sequentix forum. Honestly you seem to think they are Apple, Yamaha or Korg. Many boutique manufacturers have long lead times and are not that commercial. Macbeth is one compa...

Re: Sequentix Cirklon

You'll have to forgive a healthy dose of skepticism...been on the waiting list since Nov 2017, every 6 months there's some update about how things are going to move more quickly. I'm happy to wait for mine and support the manufacturer, but as for wait times, it's 3 years at present, and based on thi...

No, it's far more complex than that
Totally believe you on this — know nothing about what the implementation is. Hopefully some variant is not too complex to be integrated into the 6's!

Re: Dave Smith hints at Sequential Prophet 5 Rev4/Prophet 10

The vintage knob has several axis of param interactions that it affects. It was empirically set up after we found a general algorithm so basically ‘hand tuned’ to make sure it sounded good across the entire range. Part of what appeals to the ear is not quite knowing what is going on, a subtle level...

Re: Dave Smith hint of a new synth coming up in August

i think this is great, but i don't see the big difference from the P6. Is it mainly the VCO and filter chips? are these differences worth a grand more? This is where my head's at as well. No FX, either, as well as some other of the more modern options of the 6 left off. This is one for the purists ...

Re: Sequentix Cirklon

November 2017, still have not gotten the call. At this point I'm mostly just curious to know if it'll ever happen. I wonder if the youtubers and celebs get to cut the line or if they just buy them used. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've gotten almost every Cwejman module I've wanted - except for ones that don't seem to be slated for future production runs (e.g. the PH8). You have to put up with Facebook and deal with Maho directly on there, get on her email list to wait for production runs of specific modules, or reach out to ...

My only wish is that in some new firmware there could be digital VCAs added after the FM jacks, controlled by the CV inputs next to them. It's a shame to have such a capable dual complex oscillator without FM index. This! Thirded. Could see this as a switch in the menu - CV: Over Oscillator / Over ...

This is likely the final version. I tried it both ways. TIMBRE on the left, FURTHRRRRRRR on the right. Yes, that 6x R's just like the Endorphin.es panel. I'm still leaning towards TIMBRE https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/userpix2/12382_img_0739_1.jpg Agree with your inkling on TIMBRE. It looks great!

I decided to do my own layout. My panel is going to have more detail and be closer in design to the Buchla 259. I'm almost done with the layout. I'm going to do a couple printing tests to make sure everything is good. If all goes well I'll be ordering a prototype tomorrow. If there is enough intere...

The love for the erbe verb is not because it's an end-of-chain reverb like blue sky. It's genuinely a sound source unto itself. And a very interesting one, at that.

I've been considering letting go of my QMMF-4 and with all of these crazy prices I have no idea what to charge. I'd hate to ask for a ridiculous amount but even worse would be selling it to someone who would then just jack up the price and make a profit. Another interested party here - it'd slot ri...

Just took delivery of this, and it's instant fun. Don't know why you don't see more of them around. And regarding the digital filters - they're lovely, the modeling is top class. If they're good enough for Todd Barton, they're certainly good enough for me!

Picked up yesterday from Control. This module is an absolute beast. It can go all the way from clean and glossy and classic FM-bell tones to noisy hell, and literally everything in between. Loving this one, new classic in my book.

This thread is super long, so pardon if this was answered earlier - I vaguely remember some talk about an option to activate / deactivate artifacts when you change the delay time (i.e. the pitch sweeping up as you lower the time, and vice versa), which by default the DLD doesn't do. Is this somethin...

Yeah you'd have to think that this is going to be something that comes in a firmware update. All the parameters are there, all that you'd need is for them to allow it to be mapped via the CTRL knob. Seems like a pretty easy win
