Re: Behringer clone of SH-101? MS-101

I actually just answered my question! I found a ms-1 modding guide by someone named maffez (i think the same person who documented all of the rd-8 mods) which gives some options for modding the envelope as well as other things. https://www.matrixsynth.com/2019/11/behringer-ms-1-diy-mods.html Maffez...

Re: Behringer clone of SH-101? MS-101

I really wish Behringer would do a module version with buttons to input steps instead of keys. I hate the keybed and it would be ace if it was smaller i really wished they would’ve just mimicked the originals sequencer verbatim. it was literally perfect just the way it was. a huge oversight and a m...

You can already do those things easily with the older version, so I am pretty sure the MKII will do as well.

Re: What is a piece of gear that you will never part with?

I don't see myself ever being without an MS-20. I know it like the back of my hand and love the way it sounds and functions, quirks and all. I was going to say MS-20, too, but I can see getting an original, full sized one, or that the mini might need to be replaced at some point. Your post nailed i...

Re: Doepfer Vs all the rest

This is all interesting, thanks I was just looking at a doepfer quad lfo. Again, probably a stupid question (I'm fairly new) how do you clock them in sequence as there doesn't seem to be a clock input? That quad LFO can't be clocked, they're all free running. Good for unsync'd modulations and stuff...

Re: Para or Poly synth to compliment Euro set up...OB6, Pro 3, P12 experience?

Do not underestimate the Blofeld. Once you load your own samples and start FMing them with evolving wavetables then it's the ultimate texture powerhouse. I am rather versed in some of the artists you mentioned and it definitely can get that sound. There is so much more to it than glossy pads....

Re: Attention, Zoom effect pedal owners...

I tried it on my zoom CDR-70 and it works. I just got rid of a couple of effects I didn't care about in order to load a few overdrives and amp emus, and hey presto. So far so good.
The issue I've got is that those are not seen properly by the free zoom editor tho...

Re: BR-909

That was kind of my point.... Gitane demone and skinny puppy for exemple used the 909, but we mostly know it and get links to techno-related outputs. Nothing wring at all with the 909 ( I used it to bits in the 90's), but a lot of its fanbase locks it into purely techno related territories...

Re: Best Bargains in Eurorack

As previously mentioned, anything from Mutable Instruments (Warps and Plaits especially), Doepfer filters are all winners, or any other of their modules second hand. Klavis Twin Waves not only packs a lot of possibilities in 8hp, and the menu is actually easy ( nothing is more than a couple of click...
