Re: Beginner looking for some module advice...
VCOs, LFOs and VCAs are actually what you want to focus on. First of all, VCOs are not only sound sources but audio rate modulators as well. Welcome to the world of analogue FM and its wondrous textures.... LFOs because hell yeah, you gotta modulate the hell out if everything for your intended purpo...

Re: Behringer VCS3
That mixer is the perfect concept and design, let down by shitty built, cheap parts and awful drivers. I wish they would upgrade it, considering how they updated their built quality recently. Aaaaaanyway, back to their VCS3, so what width are we dealing with here concretly? It's smaller but I can't ...

Re: Behringer VCS3
False equivalence, but I get your point. To be honest, I've seen vastly different circuits having closer sonic similarities than actual copies with a few adaptations. Some digital emus are a good exemple of this as well. I am not saying that it would be the case in this present situatiin (EMS synths...

Re: Recommend some monitors?
I agree with the Yamaha HS range. The best I've seen at this price range, but keep in mind that whatever you go for, 8inch drivers are a must. You can't appreciate a moog bass on anything less than that. Size matters... There is also a handy looking matching powered sub that can be added later if n...

Re: Mutable Instruments - ELEMENTS - Sounds
Instead of sending pulses to Elements you can send directly 5V to the Gate input with the Contour pot fully CW. Now you have a continous orchestral generator which can be modulated in real time. Anyone using it like this? :bananaguitar: It's an amazing drone machine, so yes indeed. I often do that ...

Re: Mutable Instruments Clouds 2 (watching us from the dark side)
This is going to change my plans for completing my row of MI modules. I had planned to add Warps and Stages, but it looks like I will want to get this instead of one of those. Any suggestions on whether Warps or Stages would be the one to add to this row? Braids-Rings-(Clouds 2)-Veils-Ripples-Shade...

Ah! No, we are talking about the limited edition desktop. From a few years ago, which included a few mods already made, facilitates the possibilities of other mods, switch for the two filter revisions, hz/oct as well as v/o, and other goodies. The ultimate MS in my book (I have/had all the other ver...

Electro Harmonix DRM 16 sync out.
I recently acquired a DRM 16 after years of hunting, and I know it is possible to add a clock out, as on some of its siblings (mine has the bass out and the two normal outputs). Anyone did it? Share your infos and experience, wigglers
. Thanks.

Re: MS-20M feedback on factory mods?
Osc as a source to modulate everything!
If you mean doing the PWM and sync mods, those are already present on the MS20m, by the way.

Re: MS-20M feedback on factory mods?
Osc out to cutoff in. Either the low pass or high pass. Usually I use the second osc and turn its volume down on the mixer, but that's me. Or osc out to the general modulation in, in order to replace the internal patching from the LFO.

Re: Kick Module Suggestion.. maybe someone can make this..
This defy the point of modular synthesizers in my book. It's not a shelf where you screw in . Ready-maed insteuments, but various simple modules/building blocks. You can easily make your own with a few modules . That is the whole point of modular synthesisers....
but then again YMMV and all of that...
