Re: 208p build thread (papz's PCBs)

Adjusting card 9's trimpot only is not enough. Let me quote the build notes , these are helpful and worth a good read. ;) Card 9 : tracking of both CO oscillators together This may be a tricky part and needs a proper balance between the CO timbre (TR4) and waveshape (TR7) trimpots on the MB and the...

Re: 208p build thread (papz's PCBs)

HeYa! Hope you are all well! My 208p has a problem with its timbre. It is fine in lower frequency range but in higher frequencies you hear both the oscillator not tracking and jumping around. I tend to say glitches but not really sure how to describe. Tried to adjust trimmer on card 9 and it helped ...

Hi all! Unfortunately I can’t get my sync working. I have VCO 1 and 2 connected to V1/2 and VCO 3 connected to S1. I used shielded cables. I’ve jumpered J3. I get weird constant syncing of VCO 3 by both other two oscs even if I have the Switches disconnected (which are shielded as well) Is the jump...

FamilyTool now available (Module, PSU, Case)

Hi everyone! Hope you are fine :) As some of you already know we couldn't reach our kickstarter goal. Nevertheless we thought people might enjoy our module and case with wooden cheeks - maybe the psu as well ;) Tho everything is available as DIY only. BUT: the case is on a "pay what you want" basis....

when it sounds like a polysix then you probably do something wrong as this does a hell different job! It definitely will have the same sound color as a Polysix because its the exact same filter.. So it does sound as a voyetra as well as it got the same filter and as a polykobol ii as well - as inte...

Dont argue on what is written on paper. I think roman had a reason for using the 2044 filter. Everyone is complaining when a clone isn’t 100% the same but now with the same filter there are still complaints. And it shouldn’t be a seen as a clone - it is more! It is “just” inspired by the Polykobol. ...

Case in point - the Kijimi modulation section. Red LED = negative modulation of target, green LED = positive modulation. What is both LEDs on mean? Bi-polar modulation I would think. Indeed. Per Roman the modulation on the waveshaping is different tho: When wave is fully CW negative (red) modulatio...

I have the same problem. Will check D1. Nope, D1 is fine. On mine I have the same issue with both LPGs, so I either made the same mistake twice, or there's a common error somewhere else. I don't see any issues on the cards themselves. I used dual vactrols on both. Here's photos of the cards, perhap...

Swapped the cd4066 ics but no luck. On pin5 molex card11 I get following results when I turn the switch: 0.02V / 0.4V / 1.3V
I suppose that the error isn’t on the motherboard then luckily.
I’ll check all components

Is there a significant difference between the VCA and combination mode on lpg2 with the mod osc only? I can’t here any change switching between them - it always sounds like the vca mode. Any experiences? Haven’t done the co so can’t compare lpg1
