Re: midhub

Nothing fancy here. It was my first try to make some generative sequence from the drumkid. It works fine! I added a piano box later on (not on this video) and was able to have 3 generative sequences in key and in groove with the drum. So far I really like it! https://youtu.be/j9SdEgLRmSA Edit: The d...

Re: Ahhh... P Bass or J Bass.

For me best is Pb body with J-neck. I had couple of Jazz bass and never could keep them for more than couple of months. Main reasons neck dive. Depends what sound your looking for but me it's P pickup with flat wounds. At least for now, wasn't the same answer if you'd asked last year and won't be ne...

Re: Roland KC amps: do the inputs have overhead for modular?

Do you have an interface on your modular to bring the signal down to line level? If not you should. I might be wrong be I don't know any mixer which could accept modular level without clipping.

Re: Compressor for playing live.

I had the best result with the stereo output off my modular in to the Behringer HD400 into the EHX platform. The Behringer clean up the hum if any and then give me limiter or overdrive warmness in addition to its compression.

Re: Outdoor Modular Jam

I'm using the Harley Benton power bank with deasy chain and usb cable for the Bastl illuminati. Only the JBL has his own batteries.

For the "real" outdoor example everyone has his own power bank or gear which has their own batteries.

Please share your experience when you get out!

Re: How'd you find "the one"?

Bass- fender cij P lyte. She's been around in my life since the late 90s. It was actually a friend who noticed her first. He was a bit older and wiser, did me a favour by suggesting I check her out. She didn't appeal to me at first - she felt lovely but her light body tones weren't really my thing....

Outdoor Modular Jam

Well as you guess let's discuss and share our set-up, sounds, problem (sync all those stuff with midi or gate, etc.), stories or whatever! Outdoor jam and busking have been the main highlight of my summer. Here is my new set-up for this year. It will change before it will begin in few months but bet...

Re: Korg Volca Sample woes

I had similar problems. However, for me, it was always because of the computer or the phone used never my volca. The sounds MUST be as clean as possible. Took me a while to found out that my computer had a EQ always ON (hifi enhancer crap)in the setting which needed to be switch OFF for transferring...

4dpdt for 9v and pickup selection

Hello! I'm wondering if it's safe to use a 4DPDT (Dimarzio EP 1111) for pickup selection and 9v current switcher on the other side. The idea is to have some led switching happening at the same time as the different pickup selection. I don't have crappy pickup I could try... So wondering if one had a...

You don't see the beginning of any patch. He could have played it with his hand (to record the loops). Than tweak it until he have a good groove than record the video... Everything can be modulated with everything.... Anyway, it does sound good so who care? :hihi: It's a beast machine to practice yo...

Definitely don't care for quantization. I see it as an instrument on its own. My guitar, bass or drum set don't need quantization. I guess it's just that I'm more of a player than a programmer.

Years ago, in a similar situation I found out that actually cutting a bit on the lows but boosting the low mids help me to fatten the bass sound in the band at load volume. This doing into a 15" (loaded with Celestion orange label speaker (really sharp), and a 2 or 4*10" loaded with Celestion green ...

Depending on the size of the board I use keyboard stand or percussion stand.
With a double gigbag (for 1 acoustic and 1 electric guitar) I can put the stand with the synths or the pedal board and 1 guitar all on my back (way easier to ride the bike).
