Re: Filter Output Mixing Tricks

I used to do 12dB LP - 12db HP to get a nice phaser stage. Both resonances set and modulated the same. As mentioned above, beware of phase invertion of certain filters, in case it doesn't work.

Re: Pulsar-23 by Soma

I do not own a pulsar, but when having clock problems I first check:
- clock pulse length (shorten it to in steps to short triggers)
- reduce/increase clock level

Pam can do both.
In the clock dividing case, I would check clock pulse length first.

Re: Befaco Hexmix and Hexepander (Hexa Project)

Is there a way to "tie" two channels together as a stereo pair, and only adjust one knob for gain, EQ, one PFL, etc.? I've been flirting with the idea of getting these, but this is the one thing holding me back. Lack of any stereo channels or link switches seems insane to me on a mixer of this size...

Anyone happen to have the schematics for Paths? Trying to figure out why my step select switch isn't quite working.
Here it is.
In the RYO Zip file, I also added all RYO related files I have from my builts.

Re: How to stop your sequencers skipping to second step...

Maybe I misunderstand the issue, but I always reset on Stop!
Whenever I press stop, one channel of Pams New Workout (single final pulse) sends a reset to Brains, clock dividers, Trigger man, etc.
It's one of my fix connections.

Cirklon DMUX can output up to 10V with velocity setting trigger levels per step.
So, you can use e.g. a Nord Drum 2's trigger inputs with full velocity control.

If you have nothing patched into input C the knob will add a positive or negative DC voltage (offset). So with turning the C knob, you will push your quiet sine wave slowly into the upper/lower Vcc rail until the signal distorts.

So, yes, this is normal behavior.

It would keep the pitch of the sample not the LFO.
PM is FM without the pitch change.

Yeah but sometimes you want something a bit more complex than just a slope.. Is there something like the quad decay but with CV over the decay time too..? That would also be great to have to get variations... I just got the Vermona Fourmative Contour, which can be a 4 decay envelope module, among v...

Be aware that, in my experience, you need to change the zone cv about 1msec before the trigger to hear the correct zone. If I use pitch cv for zone change, my Cirklon changes pitch ca. 800usec before the trigger pulse and the A8 changes zones 'most of the times' correctly. There is a short rise time...

There should not be any difference if either one or the other is the master. To me it's more important where my hands are when I need to start/stop the system. At the moment I use my Cirklon as master and clock PNW (and others) from the Cirklon's sync out to PNW clock and run inputs using a DIN sync...

Re: What are the fundamental comparator types?

I've just started reading a little about comparators today. I'm not really interested (yet) in different component types that essentially achieve the same outcome but maybe one is faster or more efficient. I'm thinking more what are the different things that can be compared in the voltage world tha...

I hoped in 2 step mode it would work like 2 input swapper, ie first in1->out1 and in2->out2, second in1->out2 and in2->out1. But I just found out in2 goes to out3 even in 2 step mode. Is it supposed to work like this or did I assemble it incorrectly? I'm using the O/Is as Inputs and the I/Os as Out...

I am as well in the dis-organized camp. I hate seeing me developing patching habits.

I found putting all digital modules and trigger generators into it's own power row resulting in a lot more quiet system.

I see the same behavior as discribed above with my fusion vca2. I can add that the cv in signal is actually passed through to the output. You can see an envelope directly at the output. As Marta from Ericasynths said: It's more a waveshaper than a vca. In general I observe with fusion modules that y...

As a 12dB (2-pole) filter results in a 180 deg phase shift a.k.a. converts a sine into a cosine, just use eg. a HP below the filter freq, boost the signal and you have what you want.
