Re: Prok Drum modules

They announced it so long ago that I assumed it was out when I bought all four.

So yeah I'm pissed.

Can't Figure Out SDSV+

I picked up a Timo Rozendal SDSV+ and can't get close to the sounds that others seem to be raving about. Are there any docs or a description of the architecture somewhere? I couldn't find anything online.

Or maybe somebody could walk me through a couple patches?

MISO. But I'd rather have any of the above.

Re: Prok Drum modules

I built all four. Def check the teensy, although idk how that would pin the output to -10V.

I did forgot to solder the teensy on one of them. I don't think they actually tell you to solder the teensy in the instructions.

2hp Lunchboxes!

I want to put a 2hp drum case together and then they were announced. http://www.twohp.com/coming-soon

Anybody have any more details or a release date? They are supposed to be out soon.

They seem to be made of individual modules. Sounds expensive!

Sticky Pot

I am building an ADDAC 306 kit with a little crossfader pot. The pot is sticky at one end of its travel, and too stiff in general for a cross fader. Before I go buy a can of Deoxit, will it actually make the pot feel looser? And can I use WD-40? I have read not to use WD40 but idk whether to pay any...

I think they should focus on supporting their existing products. My Hermod felt very unfinished and the company seems a bit overstretched. I would not expect anything from Squarp until I actually see it.

Re: Arpie

It's a very easy build and it works great. Except for chord mode :despair: Actually, it's not even a build. Just pull the top off, plug it in, put the top back on. I put a piece of tape on the bottom as the bottom of the PCB was quite close to some of the headers. You have to start your arpie with a...

Re: What do you feed your BIA, especially after midnight?

Does BIA not accept negative voltages at all? My understanding is that the knobs on the new version are CV offsets when you have CV to the corresponding input. Do the inputs still ignore negative voltage in this case?

Re: Distortion in Delay Feedback Loop

Please expand on this, won’t you just get the original signal back if you recombine them? If the rectifier is built with ideal diodes, yes, you get your original signal back. But there is no such thing as ideal diodes. So you get crossover distortion. You could even build this as a little cable wit...

Re: Distortion in Delay Feedback Loop

Are you going direct to stomp or using an adapter to match levels? I find there is a night and day difference between the two. Here is a demo of mine: https://youtu.be/IXizOs8ySqw I would mult the delay repeat out, one clean and one distorted, and use a crossfader module or pair of vcas to control ...

Re: Distortion in Delay Feedback Loop

You need something with crossover distortion; that actually sounds more distorted on small signals than large ones. That sounds like what I am looking for. I could not find crossover distortion in eurorack though. Sorry if I wasn't clear about the issue I am running into. To get distortion the gain...

Distortion in Delay Feedback Loop

I am trying to create a delay effect where the repeats distort more with each repeat. I have been trying guitar pedals but they seem fundamentally unsuited to the task because of the gain they need to distort. So I’m looking for a distortion or waveshaper that will keep distorting as gain is reduced...

Re: King of the Hats

I also have the 2HP hats. They sound fantastic but I agree with earlier comments that the sweet spot seems quite limited to me. After a certain point they start to sound a bit off to my ear. Perhaps I need to experiment more with quicker modulation to those points. Are those the 2hp hats in Sunspot...

It's so useful in my tiny 120 hp rack. :hail: :tu: +1 Stages. So great. Most of my envelopes are decay-only, so I get up t...

Re: King of the Hats

I'm gonna go with the 2hp. It seems to have the best classic analog hat sounds, plenty of new sounds, and enough modulation.
