Re: AD, AR or ADSR ?

The Octal VCA plus the Expander AD/AR from Synthetic Sound Labs is 3U and gives you the option of having a choice of either AR or AD as well as using the remaining channels left over (if you don't use all eight) for just simple VCA use. Downside is it's just EG drven VCA's so not useable to a filte...

Re: Corsynth DR-03

I have one and it is really flexible between the CH, OH and metal. Throw in the RM and noise basis of the synthesis and you have alot of really different timbres to choose from. I am waiting on the DR-02 to round out my 5u Drum section. (DR-01, DR-02, SSL Thundrum, DR-03)

Re: Sequencer questions

You've jumped off the Big Boy diving board for sure! :yay: I'm going to make the boring suggestion of spending a tiny bit of time with what you've got. A month from now you'd be able to answer your own question based on the walls you run into patching some *really* capable sequencers. You basically...

Re: Sequencer questions

Are you looking for your sequencers to interact or play independently? Do you have the expanders for the 569? If you don't, the 569EG and 569ES would open up missing capabilities in a way that just another sequencer wouldn't, particularly with your 563 set. Then something like the Q960 with its sta...

Re: Moon 563E Cabling

The Moon 563E ribbon cables are 14-pin, and Euro are 16-pin. You should look up 14-pin IDC connector ribbon cables on Amazon. They are fairly cheap. Here is a compatible lot . Gert would cringe at their lack of Rainbow Power, but they will work fine. Excellent.. feel free to bitch slap me when i as...

Sequencer questions

I have a MFOS 16 Step and Moon 569 and looking for a third. Would a Q119 be redundant? If so does it make sense to just splurge for the FSFX Klee? Thanks for the help.

Moon 563E Cabling

Got my expander for the Moon 563v3 trigger sequencer. Did not come with cables and appears to be standard Eurorack power cable standard. My question is, any problem using Euro power cables to link these two units?

Re: Sequencing eurorack with Elektron Cycles and keystep

Have you hooked the Keystep to a computer and ran MIDI Control Studio? I think there are setting to route MIDI DIN to CV. You can also set cv clock resolution and a bunch of other stuff. You can also use a 1/8" TRS to dual TS cable from Keystep out and you'll get clock on one TS and reset on the ot...

really liking the Dove filter. Here's a quick noodle with a Cursus Iteritas as the source, the Dove filter, and a Moon delay. The required reverb :tu: is provided by an RSP-550 which was chosen because it happened to be powered up and patched in the aux sends. https://soundcloud.com/oldgearguy/morn...

Also, look into wave replacement synthesis. Interesting stuff, might inspire you. Lots of potential for waveform animation.

Re: Let the 5u fun begin

The Yammy FS1R and Argon8M are great front ends for some modular love! That is a really interesting concept. No CV on those modules so how might you use them in the 5U context? I honestly never thought of that. The idea is to use the FS1r or Argon provide the source audio, replacing the modular osc...
