Re: Rossum Electro-Music Mob of Emus

Right, managed to sell a few bits to get this preordered. Looks mighty powerful, I think it's going to be Marbles's best friend Still on the fence. I wish Rossum did black panels :hihi:. It does seem like it would be a great companion to my ER-301 though. Yeah a 301 and this would be a fun place to...

Re: Thoughts on Euro LPGs, please?

Throwing my hat in the ring.

The Future Sound Systems P.O.C.A is awesome! 4x Vactrol LPGs thad sound lovely, passive, some clever normaliation for chaining and very cheap. 6hp

Re: Xaoc Zadar, Quadruple Envelope Generator + Nin expander

Haha yeah I feel bad selling someone a cursed module. I also thought their warranty was only a year but maybe they are more generous on these since it's a known issue. I've owned my Zadar since the first batch back in 2018, so well out of warranty and now have the erratic encoder behaviour. I've ju...

Re: How to Stay in Tune with Eurorack (performing live)

i cannot recommend a zeroscope more for this. Either the 1u version or the 3u. I have the intellijel 1u and it's great just to be able to get everything in tune live. So handy

I'm personally a fan of 2 pole filters for chords, something without too steep a cutoff slope. Stereo Dipole/Filter-8 are my go-to's for anything chord like.

Re: How do you feel mid-2020 about cv-equipped (and MIDI to an extent) instruments with your eurorack modules and approa

I integrate an Elektron Digitone, Juno 106 and Dreadbox Typhon into my modular. I send midi sync from Pams New Workout to the Digitone and then sequence midi out from there to the Typhon and Juno on the Digitone midi tracks, I'm also sending a midi track back into my euro case to polyphonically sequ...

Personally the FFS POCA is a fantastic quad passive LPG which I think is overshadowed by some "sexier" LPG modules.

Re: Expert Sleepers disting EX

I do not understand the need for a very large SD card. The companion files are only about 5GB leaving 30GB for more stuff. I left pure computer based music for modular to limit my choices so that I make music rather than consider options. I cannot imaging that I would need more than, or even, 30GB ...

Re: Expert Sleepers disting EX

So i've been trying to use a Samsung EVO 128GB SD card with the disting EX, but i can't seem to be able to get the disting to recognise it. I had to use a third-party program to format it into the FAT-32 format, since windows 10 doesn't give you that option anymore, but no succes. The manual also r...

Re: Instruo arbhar granular processor

Has anyone experienced issues with buffer pitch? I’ve noticed recently my incoming audio being recorded in the buffer then playing at a different pitch from the original even with the pitch dial at 12. I have to adjust the tuning of the buffer by ear until it matches, rather annoying. Edit: FIXED! I...

Ive got a Tete arriving tomorrow to pair with my Tetrapad. And the main reason I bought it was to replace my voltage block and get some sweet cv sequencing done. What mode do I need to be in to do the voltage block thing? Voltages How would voltages mode enable you to replicate voltage block functi...

Any Noise Engineering Oscillator and Mutable Instruments Rings. I've had some incredible results running Manis Iteritas in parallel through Rings.
In phase or out of phase?
Both.

Here is Loquelic Iteritas and Rings

Re: Frap Tools USTA

New USTA owner and I'm having weird issues clocking it externally. I'm clocking from Pam just normally, nothing fancy. And when I use the ratio control (so it's multiplying the clock) the clock gets all weird, it's almost like there's an LFO controlling the clock, so that it speeds up and slows dow...

You could always shift the target note an octave up, so that the glide hits desired note at 50% gate length? A little untidy but doable

Still learning my gear, but it is at the heart of everything I do. Not sure why people complain about it sounding like lo-fi MP3s. It sounds wonderfully rich and layered to my ears. (That said, if there’s a module that aims at that sound more explicitly, with lower latency and more direct CV contro...

Re: Have you ever regretted menus on everything?

I personally find the 'if it's got a screen I'm not touching it' stance increasingly grating. To have that opinion is fine, we all have our tastes but I see folks throwing it around like it makes them bigger than everyone. The modules I have with screens (Usta, Pams, Tete, Zadar, Disting EX, Braids ...
