Re: Moog goes Eurorack:Satan complains of sudden chill Mother-32

Can anyone that has previously purchased one, link me to a replacement power supply in the UK that will fit a Moog Mother 32, mostly worried about the barrel connector being the right size. Myvolts on eBay uk. Seller also does a USB version, though that may be out of stock. https://www.ebay.co.uk/i...

Re: RIP Ennio Morricone - il Maestro

Morricone leaves an outstanding body of work. All too often written for films that had no other merit. Perhaps the last of the great film score composers, right up there with Benny Herrmann and John Barry.

Re: Arturia Keystep pro

can you use the KSP as a polyphonic CV keyboard? I.e., playing 4 different modular voices at the same time? Nothing in the manual seems to (obviously) answer this, I only see comments about programming each track individually, but it's a de facto option I would expect on something like this. That's...

A few of the recent Pittsburgh Modular Analog Delay Units around with peeling front panels already. Is the build quality of the VRL better?

Probably not what I should be taking away from watching a Tempest demo...

This performance is unusual and inspiring. So much so that YouTube has been fighting a war against it from day one.

It ends its life with bugs unfixed, features never implemented or implemented in really awkward and illogical ways not deserving to be associated with the Linn brand and its history of ergonomic and thoughtful interface design, and a giant middle finger to people who paid a premium price for someth...

Re: The Eurorack Bashers

Machine Gun Etiquette by The Damned wasn't released until late 1979 and was probably the Sgt Pepper's of punk. Great album but not many (including The Damned) would describe it as punk. And ‘Sgt Pepper's of punk’ is very much a contradiction in terms. Maybe it depends where you're based - I laughed...

Undertones ... had too many good tunes to be a punk band ;) As My Perfect Cousin shows, the Tones were also funny at a time when both new wave and electronic music could be very serious and self-righteous. Not the League though. Even before Phil Oakey kicked out the beards he wrote The Black Hit Of...

Re: The Eurorack Bashers

Many people want to play a musical instrument but not many people want to build one. 'Build-your-own' is always going to have limited appeal. Contrary to what Moog's marketing tells you, Eurorack seems to appeal most to middle-aged white men sitting in garden sheds. Plus there's all the other stuff ...

Juno is the main culprit. That surprises me as I've found Juno to be the only retailer in the UK competing on price as well as offering outstanding service. Many UK outlets charge exactly the same price as each other particularly for new releases. Some might say there plentiful evidence that price-...
