Re: KORG miniKORG 700FS
I was hoping at some point Korg might reissue the polysix and mono/poly but I find myself surprisingly tempted by this. This synth is hard to find in good shape for a good price. I've seen them here and there for around 600-800 but there is usually something wrong with them or switches broken off e...

Re: Behringer 2600
Like the previous comments above being 85% there, compared to what exactly? I think that might have been me? I said - Ill have to wait for Sonicstate to review it - if the grey is even 85% of the way there I think Im in (as with the VCS3). Im hoping Sonicstate do a comparison with an OG or a Korg o...

Re: Behringer 2600
I'm definitely going for the Korg version rather than one of these but dang is that blue enticing. Reminds me of that Bowie song "Sound + Vision", "blue, blue, electric blue..." I'm not paying 2-3 times the price for the Korg version...especially for a mini thing. The Behringer clones are excellent...

Re: KORG miniKORG 700FS
We are in full analog fetishism mode here ... :fap: :fap: They're nice synths effectively, pleasant filter... when you can get a used one for cheap... Korg is obviously short of inspiration and scrubbing the bottom of the drawers to find something exciting...so let's make a special version of some s...

Re: EMS like behavior in Euro
What you're missing is a Synthi is much more than the sum of its parts and attempting to "emulate the exotic textures/ sounds and controls" or even only get anything close to its sound, behaviour and interface with any assembly of eurorack modules is a pointless waste of time, money and energy. Man...

Re: EMS like behavior in Euro
I would like to build out a rack to fit a Halliburton case with two rows of 84 HP. I am fascinated by EMS. While I do not want to replicate exactly an EMS Synthi I would like to emulate the exotic textures/ sounds and controls. Pictured is a mockup of my idea of a Synthi like rack using mostly Doep...

Ribbon or ring controller for precise tempered music
Hi guys, Please let me know if already discussed 50 times, but I'm searching for either a CV or midi ribbon controller or ring controller to control my synths. I want a controller that can be aligned to a keyboard so I can play some Back or Messiaen lines as an Ondes Martenot or a Cello with Glissan...

Re: Behringer ARP 2500 modules
I'll take a Mix Sequencer 1050 for sure. I have the Non-Linear Circuits version of the 1050. I love it to death. Never understood what the 1050 till I finally got my hands on one. I really look forward to having those button to quick select a channel. Amen - I know the audio units will likely be ju...

for $56 even w/1 gate, It is still a deal if it works well. We'll see. And this reply is why these exist in the way that they do . People don't care about the fact they're not even close to the originals. In function. These are off by a country mile! No matter what price you pay. You're buying a sh...

I suggest putting everything in the shipping container, since you are getting it already. it'll be the safest and most secure way. Finding a reputable international moving company. Re: Synthi options
The problem of making alternate matrix designs in not really cost, but size. You can get high density 3.5mm TS jacks with plastic bodies (allowing you to use TS and not TSR) jacks in the quantities you need (256 for a 16x16) for under $100 but they do take up a large space. If you made a VCS3 style...

Re: Inside the Korg ARP 2600
Obviously could have been a mini, aside for maintaining the original interface and appealing to our nostalgia. The original is similarly mostly empty. There is more than nostalgia to be considered here. While some may feel the size difference is 'wasted space', I will contend that user interface us...

Re: Behringer Pro 800, Prophet 600 clone
Curtis filters or SSM2044 filters would sound better, is it stereo? But then, it becomes a P5....they inly share the same BCO chips... Interesting page for chips used in synths: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/CEM_and_SSM_chips_in_synthesizers Yeah I hear you, but I remember when the Prophet 600 ca...

Re: Behringer Pro 800, Prophet 600 clone
This is an un-official Mock-up, but i really want this. http://www.vo1t.com/Euro/Illustrated/Pro-800.jpg I think the membrane switches on the original Prophet 600 probably aren't working so good after all this time. I wonder if they'll add Noise or a 2nd LFO? 8 Voices is pretty amazing, Curtis filt...
