Re: I need like 4 mimeophons

if you want an external feedback loop just put a mixer in front of your delay and mult the output back to the mixer after doing whatever to it

Re: "Three-phase" SSF/WMD LFO...(help with terms)

a lot of the best chorus fx use something akin to this, to modulate three different delay lines. so if you have 3 vc delays and a mixer, there you go, just mult your audio into all 3 delays and sum the delay outputs and add the original signal to taste

i use knurlies to make it easier to regroup modules because they are forever a changin. i wish my hardware modular was more like vcv rack where you can use your finger to rearrange modules :hihi:

Re: Feedback Synthesizer Design Help Request Eurorack

many mixers can subtract one signal from another, all you need is to invert the signal you wana subtract then mix them (a lot of mixers can do both at once)

Re: Recommend me some Eurorack Analog Effects

plague bearer is mean as hell distorsion, among things. the toppobrillo triple wave folder is great for processing external sounds, which is why it keeps its big spot in my little case

with enough feedback anything analog can become an effect

Re: Pitch to CV in 2020

My experience with pitch-CV is that it is possible to get reasonable tracking of a carefully played solo line on an instrument which is not too harmonically complex, such as a bass guitar or a lead synth line. I wouldn't expect much success with tracking a vocal. you could run your signal thru an l...

I found maths V2 difficult to use had & sold it 3times But then I was given a maths V1 and the ill tempered graphics made all my visual understanding of what was technically going on go out the window with accidentally plugging things, lead me to find the beauty of maths V1 has much better spaced k...

i got a case built for playing out instead of one made for studio use ;) too bad about elite's issues, the portable 208 has served me very well goin on 4 years. and it closes patched! before i got it id carry my cell 90 around in an old guitar case. the mobster vibe of pulling something else out of ...

🤔
that seems like a bit of a contradiction; dennis colins paper on the 1047 made it seem that the 1047s most important feature was extremely high Q without oscillating

Found a spot to put my L-010 Waveform Animator in a main case. It's so deep it only fits in certain slots without tickling the innards of most cases. I had only used this module a couple of times. It sounds huge. No controls, but two ins and two outs. Even with a digital source into it, it makes th...

Re: incompatible voltage ratings between modules

yeah i get where youre coming from. maybe use fancier attenuators, like a matrix mixer? i find mine great at setting levels right for something while keeping the option to add a little other spice. or maybe sometimes use it as an extra stage in your EG, e.g. AHDSR instead of just ADSR. euros a quirk...

Re: Why do I need an envelope follower?

feedback patching is where they shine most when staying solely in the rack ime, but they also let outside gear influence the modular in many fun and interesting ways.

patch one to vco pitch then send that vco and the audio being followed to a ring modulator, for instance

Re: what module does feedback your favorite way?

modules, plural for audio, i find the optomix and triatt to be exceptionally useful. the inverted attenuation on triatt lets you dial in very precise small amounts of negative feedback, which can be difficult with a regular attenuverter. the optomix is great to send the mix out somewhere then back t...

Re: incompatible voltage ratings between modules

All modules are compatible. You won’t damage a module by another one. well, except for some old doepfer units. the early version of one of their switches would get fried if you tried to pass >5V or >8V thru it iirc and to the OP, attenuation is never a waste of space. youre playing a musical instru...
