What happens if I don't put the 4.7 k resistors and just connect tge positives together and the grounds together? Would harm come to the parts/other modules connected into it? Thanx! modular audio outputs (e.g. oscillators) already have output protection resistors, usually 1k, so it is possible pas...

Because the thing was delivered with no information what so ever I don't dare connect it to my rack unless I'm sure I can do that without destroying anything.
yes, it support both power options

ultrashock The knock off STLink-v2 basic boards I see on eBay for about $5 would work for programming this? I am still a little confused as to what kind of programmer(s) I would need for this project. yes, $5 STLink v2 stick with supplied 4 pin ribbon cable from ebay/aliexpress from China/HK will d...

ultrashock please excuse my ignorance, but why would you need -5V on these as well? Looking at the datasheet, +5V and GND should be enough? :hide: analog switch passes signals in the range of its power supplied range. in eurorack audio signals are usually +\-5V. passing such signal them thru analog...

Yes, the CD4066 looks good....did you try it Ultrashock???
yep. did it. why you are asking?
when using +\-5V power supply, you may even use 74HC4066 (max. 11.5V total supply range vs 15V in CD4066).

Furthrrrr consumes roundabout 160 mA from positive rail and 150 mA from negative rail. Add a few dozen of mA from +12V when all LEDs are on. No +5V rail power required.

I've noticed some non standard screwing of the rails - well.. all doepfer modules do have like 100mm max. height of the PCB behind the panel, however it's possible to extend the max. height of the PCB up to 110 mm which is almost exact rail-to-rail vertical distance.

usually one can load the presets from C or Ti into A or B using Virus Sounddiver.. and the from C\Ti may contain equalizer settings that crucially alter the sound. + much wider mod matrix + extra fx + extra 'ladder' filter + more polyphony that is crucial using heavy unison. I doubt there were DACs ...

here is a small demo of ZO test. ZO clocks flipflopSeq and pings some 281 gates while receiving some modulation from randomness. don't remember if TZ was on or off.

actually that're exactly two CW pins (2 and 3) of the pot I cannot identify. CCW I found from the silkscreen of an old MK1 faceplate PCB.

ok, just an update, having old MK1 faceplate I figured out that old PCB has some silkscreen for tuning pot, something like: -Vref|CCW|CW|CW|Vref and I find same corresponding pins on 50-pin engine board connector on the new faceplate PCB. that drives me nuts (some other issues as well))), why one ca...

Cynthia Zeroscillator MK1 to MK2 conversion question

Hi. I almost finished conversion of ZO Buchla version of to MK2. The point is it's not clear where to connect 10-turn frequency pot. The only possible place are three vias called J40, J41 and J42 located around the big hole where stands the big pot. As the 10-turn pot has 3 wires soldered: blue\CCW ...
