Re: STS Serge power question

Hi. Suspect not, it’s intended for a single panel IIRC.

Re: First Serge module

Thanks – the first two make sense to me, but how does the waveshaping capability rank as better? Was just watching an old Make Noise YouTube video about complex env shaping using Maths and it would appear the mixer and CV "constant" channels would allow things you simply can't manage without other u...

It's superior to Maths where their functions overlap.
DUSG user and fan here but very curious how you would justify this statement (besides efficacy in the audio range).

Re: Tempest vs. RYTM...shoot!

Both machines fundamentally flawed. The Rytm by it’s diff sound engines, Tempest by bafflingly ignorant design and development decisions. Had both, let both go with zero regrets. Machinedrum and old MPC remain.

if you want to unleash its potential, you'll need 3-4 panels
I wouldn't agree with this, for any Serge module. Of course your options multiply the more you have, but it's a very worthwhile module even just on a La Bestia or other voice oriented panel alone.

Re: Baby's first Serge: STS Animal vs. R*S La Bestia II

Now have two variable slope filters in my system. One from STS and one in a La Bestia, built by Patch Point with vintage op amps IIRC. The RS one is substantially quieter in its output. With a gain boost, the tone and behavior is as close as you could want, but without it, there’s a bit of brute for...

Yes the bottom one is for "line level" output. But I never saw the upper one. Really don't know what it is. Ask Rob. And please post the answer here :miley: Eureka. Reply from Rob: "In principle all connectors are DC-coupled, meaning that audio and LFO signals that swing around ground can be freely...

Re: Hello Hordijk System

Quick question – something I've been wondering about since my system arrived. In addition to the node "pins"/banana convertors, Rob also sent two pairs of two different kinds of node connectors. IMG_4991.JPG The type on the bottom, from what I can gather, is the one mentioned in the node matrix manu...

I really miss a unique little piece of Mac software called "b1257+12". I still keep an old OS9 machine around just so I can run it. If you're out there Netochka Nezvanova, please code a modern version!
Any chance you could share that?

Have old paperface and had 73-75 starter set. The latter will get you there, no doubt about it. The only real differences for me were the lack of scratchy pots and old broken jacks almost coming out of the panel when you unpatch. 8-) So why did you choose the paperface above the 73-75 to keep :hmm:...
