I am aware of another 245 PCB but I don't know if it what you are referring to. Is there any nomenclature on PCB2? You can either post or send a photo to me of PCB2 component side, and a BOM would help. If it doesn't use 24V or have a DC-DC converter to generate 24V there should be a dead zone, but...

Hello everyone, I was extensively calibrating my recently finished 208 (big thanks to all builders for sharing the tips and mods!) and I was wondering how should the timbre circuit perform. I'm able to get enough of folds and have no unwanted oscillations but still there are some "pops" in the sound...

I had eurorack version, I did the calibration and it behaved exactly like that. I wrote Ralf from R*S and he assured me that it is normal behavior.

I can concur my LP outs have a slightly subdued sound to them as well. Its close but there is a bit of top end missing even with the filter all the way open Thanks yan6, I have the feeling there is a LOT of top end missing on my build. I will try to do some measurements on scope to see how much it ...

If you take HP1 out and patch it into IN3 in split mode and monitor LP2 OUT you have the same setup as it is internally prewired but it is a bit louder since HP1 out it amplified at its output. Probably there might be some sonic difference due to the staging, but I guess it is minor. I´m still not c...

After some time off I want to try and pull this from the fuck-it pile. I was trying to go right back the basics and trace the input signal through. What I'm noticing is some kind of frequency dependency/response issue. I'm putting a sine wave into Input 1 and am monitoring LP1 out. I am finding tha...

The knobs look like sempervirents work, first I thought it is his module because of the signature knob look, but the rest of the panel doesn´t correspond with it. If it would be my work taken, I will react the same, it happens too often that people use your graphics, drawing or photos without asking...

Re: IC sockets -- machined pin vs leaf type

Lots of people recommend the machined ones for everything because of reliability and so, but this makes much more sense! I prefer the leaf-type and I´ve seen it in many "professional" devices, unless the chips had a round pins of course. which type of IC socket is preferable and why? Don't put a squ...

I did Serge VCFQ as one of my first DIY and it is really not that hard, I didn´t burn any single styrene cap. But as mentioned previously the temperature should be high enough to solder it quickly and if the pcb pads are small the flux will help a lot to make it easier.

I noticed mine does something similar. Some atrange drop in pitch and then a slow rise nack up. Not sure if that is the same symptom. When I turn the freq knob the pitch follows the dropping pattern around 1khz depending on how quickly I change the voltage, like if there is a dent around that spot,...

258V strange behavior

Hi, I´m seeking some help or advice on 258V. I bought it recently and it is kind of working but has this strange issue. It is the grey older pcb with four trimpots on back. The top oscillator has very nonlinear response around 1khz, basically if I turn the frequency knob the pitch is going up but th...

I have similar issue but with switching power supply, the cause is probably midi/CV converter module, it even makes different pitch of whine with different notes, so it is kind of playable :). Is the output on this filter supposed to be really quiet? When I take audio from single either SVF1 or SVF 2 (split mode) the level is like cca 80% of input volume, but when they are chained hp/lp, volume drops a lot to like 50% of input volume. When I do the chaining manually (HP1 out -> IN3, split...
