I too have the GB2R and like it. It is indeed a clean, bright sounding console.

One nice feature is that it has the rotating connector "pod", so you can rack it or use it desktop by rotating the pod accordingly.

Remember, for maximum warmth and punch, modules should be replaced after each use.

I've been using the AKG K240s for a few years and I really like them. I certainly don't have golden ears, but they sound right to me. Good value for the spend.

I dealt with Utsource when i needed an MN3005 for a Blacet Time Machine build. My impression was that they aren't immune to fakery, but they are willing and relatively quick to rectify the problem. I didn't get the impression they were knowingly dealing in fakes.

Just my impressions.
