Re: I love Vermona

My mono lancet was my gateway to eurorack because of the modular dock. Remember I wanted badly a roland sh2 at that time, but the mono lancet fulfilled all my rolandish creamy sound obsessions!

Re: CLouds!

Has anybody tried running different audio programs parallel to L + R inputs, eg a sawtooth drone in the left and a guitar in the right?
Has the right input any relation to the wet-dry balance?

Re: CLouds!

You are right, due to it's digital chaotic nature ,one must have discipline in order to reach it's fullest potential ,though many happy accidents are key to this module's wow factor.

Re: CLouds!

Received my monsoon yesterday loaded with parasites, still digging clouds mode, is there anybody finding difficult learning all the modes inside out or am I the only one thinking it's too much of a hassle going back and forth between modes randomly tweaking sliders expecting for sth to happen than s...

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.

I don't think it's certain manufacturers specific behavior, it's how late capitalism functions (or not functions for most of us).

Re: What is the worst synth sounding you ever bought and why ?

My first proper hardware synth was a roland rs-5 rompler. Used it as a midi controller because the keyboard was the only bearable thing on it. I still dig on my mc505 though, it's a sentimental relationship because I grew up with the sound of 90's romplers.

Re: Give me your best sequencing tricks for inspiration

Less notes on sequences give more freedom to key changes. I write my songs usually transposing 2 to 4 step sequences with a keyboard or a divided clocked sequencer. The more steps you introduce the more difficult the transposition becomes. When you build the basic layer, then you can add a longer se...

Re: Neutron The New Behringer Semi-Modular Synthesizer

Actually I've not tried patching both attenuators to filters I-O , i've tried only patching the input or the output with no satisfying results soundwise, but if I patch osc mix straight to a moog filter, even in high levels of overdrive, the external filter sounds way better. I'll give it a try with...

Alesis quadraverb. Instant shoegaze and aphex's selected ambient works sound.
You can get it for less than 100e in good condition.

Re: Neutron The New Behringer Semi-Modular Synthesizer

Recently purchased a neutron and fell in a love - hate relationship with it. What I love is the price ,the midi clock to lfo, the shape morph, the patch bay expandability and the bang for the bucks modules that you get for 300e. One S&H, VCO and a slew module could cost you more than the whole synth...

Re: Doepfer A-156 Dual Quantizer????

In my freshly aquired A-156 I've noticed a problem with the transpose function, if I feed a cv from my qunexus to the quantizer transpose input ,sometimes (frequently) it shifts up the sequence a semitone and then returns to normal. Never had a problem with my qunexus, seems like a doepfer issue. Ca...

My soundcard is EMU 1820m, working fine with expert sleepers plugins so far. It can send up to 4.5 Volts, measured from the pulse output of the expert sleepers LFO. I will check the manual step by step. Make sure the Pitch CV Block's RANGE is set to FULL, and all relevant level controls in the host...

Thanks guys for all the replies ! Even if I try to calibrate my oscillator through insert fx, it outputs only one note, though it complets the calibration circle, and in the pitch - cv block reads a small range of 4 semitones. Tried it standalone, same problem. Calibration process fails. My problem i...

My problem is that I can't route audio from my oscillators into reaktor as an instrument, in order to do the tuning process. Cubase can route audio into reaktor only as an insert fx.

Unfortunately in cubase the only option is to run the instrument as an insert fx. Now I have the exact opposite problem. When i try to tune oscillators, the cv utility does the calibration circle but it outputs a small range of 4 semitones. Inserted a Lfo from reaktor just to measure the voltage and...

Tried it yesterday within Cubase. If you select reaktor as an insert FX, you can calibrate the oscillators but you can't run reaktor blocks sequencers , the FX plugin has no start-stop transport sync . If you select the VST instrument in the other hand , there is no way to input audio in the plugin....

So um, dumb question probably but - what would be the best way to get midi out of my macbook into one of these things? I use an embarrassingly little amount of hardware to handle the computer interface side of things... Mind you, in case you supply midi clock to SQ1 via usb,it cannot output midi fr...

Thanx! A clock divider is a mandatory purchase if you want to sync between 2 SQ1, the process of switching the device on and off to alter basic clocking is a little put off ,but for the money you can't complain.

I bought 2 of these little - bang for the bucks- boxes , 1st is configured for my ms20 and the 2nd for my eurorack. I've found clock sync between them a little limiting, so I found a trick to trigger the second one from the ms20 ESP. I send a kick or whatever signal from my daw with the timing I'm a...
